Great job so far! I like that camo pattern you have picked out for it.

It just too small for my Shrek fingers....but yes, that cammo should look great.

Use pieces of stretched sprue to fill the gaps/holes and drip a lot of Yamiya extra thin over it. It will melt the bit of sprue into the hole and once it cures overnight you can then sand the piece as you would any other piece of plastic. Just be careful with the tiny parts! :)

That little part had that block that the end of the cutters are stuck through. It's a crude attempt at a clip that held it on, or a socket they stuck into. You can cut the handles and the jaws off of the sides of it and glue it on alone, or a scrap of plastic about the same size. Gives the model a little bit of a "lived in" quality.

I know, its micro small.

I'm having a crazy idea here.  What if I made this kit with the pieces it comes with, then make another one from a better manufacture and using photo etched parts?  I figure I could put then next to each other on the same base as if they wear advancing together.  A small pin attached to the bottom would assure theyre placed in the exact place every tme

A quick supergluing of a magnet in the hull and they can be removable to look at the details.

Yes, it is a pair of wire cutters with the mount straps molded on, but you can leave it off.

That paint scheme should look amazing in a wheat field. I look forward to seeing it on your model!  :D

I'm thinking something like this.  It's the "Lines" skin from war thunder for the stug3g.  That pattern but with lighter colors.  This will be to fit in with the simulated wheat field i want to have it driving through on it's base.

That's some nice work on the braille. I do think the return-rollers on the StuG are oversized, but solid work on your part. I have no idea how you do PE on stuff that small.

This is a 40 year old kit, many of the more current kits have detail that surpass this. For example, the Revell of Germany StuG III has awesome detail and Part of Poland makes a very comprehensive photo etched set for kit. 

Here is the rebuilt gun tube for the ex-Esci Italeri M1 Abrams. I replaced the gun tube with styrene tubing. I added Grandt Line bolts to the side of the mantlet as well as drilled out the GAS and replaced the solid coax port with a piece of dried out styrene rod.

When working with PE tracks, you are basically folding a piece of photo etch about the size of the tiny bandage (the little one that won't wrap around your pinkie) lengthwise.

Great detail in this tiny kit.

Ooh.  I'm gonna check out the eduard photo etched tracks.  I always enjoy getting impaled on razor sharp tiny metal model parts.
