Scratchbuild WIP- SADF Buffel Updated 6/17

You have your work cut out for you here, but then again you're surely demonstrating that it is within your ability. This should really be interesting to see when complete. It would be good to see this as an article in a future Finescale article. Fine looking work here.

I'm glad to see some more scratch building. Your doing a great job...don't get frustrated...scratch means slow and careful.

As far as Doog's comments on plans, you can with enough pictures and some reference to size, scale many details from photos or most of what you see...but some base knowledge helps.

Ian, it would appear you have both and are moving nicely. No offense to my friends but is nice to see some other things besides Tigers and Shemans. Especially rare or different vehicles.

Ya when I look at that I see a farm implement converted to carry a few fellas in a sweatbox. Dont get me wrong your scratching is lookin tops! Just the single, offest cab screams combine to me!

Alrighty, I'd say it's about time for an update on this guy!  got some time at the bench today and here's some newer WIP shots.

It is looking good my friend.  Tires should be here in a few weeks.  I have been off to see the wizard lately.  (Dont ask.)  It has been really hectic here.  Keep up on the build, and I will scan some pic's I have of the chassis in 1/35 scale.  It should not be too hard to do.  Will see what other pic's I can get sent concerning axles and such.  Looks great!  Will scan the decal sheet, from my buffel kit too.  By the way, they id have flat beds, and the civilian market bought surplus buffels and there are some dump, and garbage trucks running around South Africa as we speak.

For anyone requiring furhter info on SADF?SANDF equipment, let me know.  I can point you in the right direction.

Well a Buffel is a new one on me and you look like your off to a flyer on it. I just couldnt contemplate a scratchbuilt model. I have so many kits in my stash. Are you planning to use some bitz from other kits? Or are you scratching the lot?
