Why don't you go ahead and get your thread set up. Then as people get their kits and start looking for and getting in their am parts, they can report that. Then when you get ready to start, you'll already have a good basis where everyone is headed.

Sounds good to me Bill and PantherLehr. Since it was Jon's idea for a group build, he should have the honor of making the thread.

Okay, someone needs to take contol. PantherLehr, this was your thread. Wanna lead? Is this gonna be a Panther G build or a whatever you want A, D, or G? This is exciting. It'll probably take until Dec. just to come up with a camoflauge pattern. Angry [:(!] LOL At least that gives some time to get our goodies ordered. Tongue [:P] Is a time limit important, I kinda like a time limit, that will motivate me to finish it. Oh well, bottom line is to have fun. Derek, your going for the heavy a.m. goods! Are you going to do your own zimmerit?

I'm going to reserve judgment (and commitment) until after this weekend. Depends on what comes from the birthday fairy!!

I may get to have a Tamiya Panther, or maybe the Aber super set for the Dragon. We'll see. Maybe I'll just get a bag of coal or a switch...Oh yeah, that's Christmas, huh! Never could keep holidays straight!! lol

Derek, sounds like your watching your dollars all right. Watching them go right into your Panther, that is!! lol

What? It's 1/35 scale, I'm not supposed to spend 1/35th the money as the original?! Tongue [:P]
I want to do Fruil tracks because I haven't before and I hate these rubber bands.
If my barrel is straight or fixable I won't replace it. As for the Zim, I don't know if I want to do it myself or get some PE/resin,
the Atak set LOOKS great but I haven't seen a review on it yet.

Derek do you want to run this show, seems like we're a little shy here. Blush [:I] I've got Eduard's p/e zim, so that should cut down my build time. Big Smile [:D]

If it is ok with all I'll take it. How about it?
By Dec. my website should be up so I could host a page on the builds. I'm thinking of a Dec. 1 (approx.) start and finish by Jan. 15 to allow for Christmas. So If it is cool with everyone I'll start a build thread, ask for sticky status, and see if we get any other takers!

PS I suggest that it is open to any Panther from any manufacturer. This gives more options to those participating (someone that has a Dragon won't have to buy a Tamiya) and allows those watching to compare the different brands.
