Freakin' superb work here, White!

The detailing is fantastic--those seats alone looked amazing; it's a real lesson in modeling to see what you've done with this ho-hum kit!

It's the 1:48 Bf 109E-4/7 by tamiya, with a quick boot resin engine and cover. Seats by SQ-True Details and PE Seatbelts by eduard, CMK wheels. An any thing not listed will be scratchbuilt! LOL I just have to have some scratchbuilt stuff on this bad boy.

An folks I was a truck driver aka: A glorified wheel holder.

A test fit for the word malibu.

Made on clear testors decal sheet, I had painted with a 0/0 paint brush to make the words malibu stand out.

Been off line for a couple of days recovering from a two day trip in Dallas and this stupid cold or whatever it is. Man I gotta say whatever line of work you are in it's probably the wrong one because you have this skill here too well perfected! Almost looks like the real thing. Great job! Havent built a car model in around 10 years and didn't come close to this!! Awesome....simply awesome!!

"MrSquid" what type of gloss black are you using and how long do you let your paint dry? An thank's to the grate comments folks, now I still have a ways to go so later to day I'll post more progress.

You're showing how  difficult it actually is to modify what is a darn close model of  car into another nameplate.  It's the details  that matter and you've got them covered with your eye and abilities. Great stuff so far and I gotta say- my Alclad experiences suck compared to what you're showing.

Oh Oh folks I forgot and left out the over head shoulder seat belt mounts.

I had to go back and replate the bumper and it worked out. I also needed to show that the trunk needed to be painted.

Next engine detail will be next.

Fitting the rear bumper and the plating of it and front bumper.

Great Job

A some days ago I had painted the body.

An what you see in the back ground is the maksing for plating the trim.

Ok once I fully maksed the body I used Alclad II to chrome all the trim.

Ok the interior is fully finished and we have our rolling chassis.

An yep I plated the front bumper and here the finished front bench-buckets.

Now I had to go back and make some rear speaker grills.

I'll trim them down later to night...

I did a test fit of a Jimmy Flinstone Resin figure. An I have to tell you that there figures are not 1:24 scale, there 1:20th scale. There way to big for both 1:24 or 25.

Now before I added the pulled up head rest's I had to chrome the top mounting plated. (Oh and the fire wall is finished!)

AMT kits make you really use your sill to over come there lack of detail.

I had to rework the front bumper as the light cover stick our to far.

Good thing you are modifying this in which you are doing a great job. These AMT kits need all the help they can get. I built a couple of Mustangs and lemme tell you there was ALOT of clean up.
