Damn, thanks doog, glad you liked it.  Got my roof rack accessories and it seems I will include a good looking canoe among a few other things.

Thank you keith!

Took a bit of time today to fabricate the wooden paddles.  These were carved from small craft sticks, then sanded down for a smooth finish.  There are small differences between them since both were done by hand.  Tried to follow the classic paddle form looking at some vintage 1970s pics.

Aww !

Ain't that cute , Twins  . I think the one in the bottom picture is gonna be a trouble - maker > L.O.L.

BTW Darned nice job so far . I have the old " Ironside " Version of it and the " FORD " Club Wagon one too . All I have to do is polish them and put the chassis on and they are done . Got them to that point over fifteen years ago !

I will have to acquire this one so I can do something I didn't do on the other ones .Open the front doors !

The Club Wagon was painted years ago with some AMT red and White lacquer .Four clear-coats later it looks like it was molded that way . Wish they still made that paint !

Tinted the paddles and did some more wood work in the cabinet under the bed.  Also painted the bed, added a dark wash and a light dry brush treatment.  Will add some simulated doors to it.  This thing has so many little details.

First off , that T/A looks sweet!!! Yes I was working on those things when they were brand new. Great cars.

Secondly, You just keep blowing my mind with the things that you are coming up with in this build. You're doing fantastic Joe! Keep up the good work and posting pics. Sorry it took so long to respond to your build here. I'm trying to make it out into the mainstream more these days.

Maybe tomorrow I will mate the body and the interior.  Still needs the dash and firewall to be installed.

What you guys think?

Thats crazy looking MOPAR...awesome!

My project has started to get on my nerves....Im about to throw it in the box for 6 months...or in the trash..,

Its a cool kit but the fitment is so horrible...getting the body to fit the interior and then the chassis is taking the best of me.  Not to mention the fitting of the clear parts. Already the windshield I had to scratchbuilded fromnsome clear plastic scraps I had.  Anyways, added a ladder.  I thought "How these guys could put thing on the roof in a van so high from the ground as this one?"

So...ladder!

I've been following your build and greatly enjoying it.  But I have to ask.  Where did you find a 1/20 ladder to put on the door?  I'm guessing you scratch built, is it plastic or metal?

The ladder came in 1/24n construction diorama accessories set.  Its plastic but I bended and cut it to size. Then I painted it to look like metal (neutral gray base, dry brushing with gunmetal gray and then dry brushed again with a mixture of brown and a tiny bit of orange to mimic slight surface corrosion).

Thanks for stopping by!

Today was very productive.  I say the van is 90% done, pending the doors installation, exterior mirrors, door handles and few more thingies...

Tires had lettering done along with some weathering to continue with the "muddy" theme going on. Front off road bumper and lights along with a winch were done also.
