Fine work. The dedication to getting the correct look is very evident.  Well Done! I am taking notes in hopes with your inspiration I will get one more rung up the ladder of modeling.

p.s.  I did notice some leaked hydraulic fluid on the trailer bed, be careful you don’t want to run afoul of  Natur  Vards  Verket  requirements

HAHAHAHA!!!!! Good one. Dont worry. It will be replaced.

Your li'l 1/24 driver is gonna want to get that spare tire replaced, before the 1/24 scale inspectors fail him for it.  If the science news suddenly breaks that a successful shrink ray has been tested, I'll know I saw it here first.

Perfectly replicated! The cribbing and chains are almost exactly how we would've done that. The only thing I would've done in the real world would've been to cross chain it. We always cross chained if we could. It makes the load even more stable.

Weathering and effects are SPOT ON! This looks like what I dealt with in the yard every day as a rigger. WELL DONE!!

Ok. Here are some newer pics showing what I've done. I decided to leave some chains hanging to show the it was in the process of being chained down.

Outstanding. Beyond superb. One thing, when you rechain, consider some 4x4 blocking (3.5" square--about 80mm full size) to suppoert the bucket and especially the excavator end of the arm. The owner of the trailer would not wan the equipment digging into the top, so, they'd make a cribbing of 4x4 to support it. Probably two pieces parallel to the long axis, and two cross-wise spiked into the first two.

 

Already got that covered. I have been reminded on this issue on other forums. :) Thanks again. But if you have a diagram or pic of what you describe it would help to see if your suggestions are the same.
