The equipment looks pretty good--it is limited, but seems as though in reality the Russian soldiers were also limited as to equipment issued.
So far, the kits that I do have from Master Box do not have the PPSH submachine gun. I have the "German Captives" kit (includes 1 Russian guard w/ a rifle, possibly the Mosin-Nagant with bayonet) and the Eastern Front Series "Hand-to-Hand Combat", which both Russians are fighting with helmet and entreching tool. .
The Russian guard from the first kit has a molded on soft hat. (I'm away from my model stash right now, so I'm working from memory....) As I recall, he also has a separately molded backpack or breadbag satchel. The two Russians from the second kit have separately molded breadbags, bayonets and e-tools (I can't remember if they have weapons, I will check when I get home and edit this post); and the helmets are hollowed out. In my opinion, I think the weapons and equipment are on the same level of quality as most Dragon kits (not the 3rd Gen kits, however).
There is another Eastern Front Series kit that I want which includes about 5 (?) Russians in firing and charging poses. If memory serves correctly, that kit may include at least one soldier with a PPSH, but I'm not for sure.
Hope this info helps and if you get one of these kits, hope they work for you!
