Hi guys; taking a break from the panzers for a month or so while I work on some Christmas presents for Jenn...she saw this up at the LHS and went nuts for it...(I can't imagine why?!!)
It's a Aurora-esque figure set of "The Frantics" line. Weird, but fun to build!
Here's the box...excuse that paint stain...get the line on the bottom of the box about the "screamin Meemies and the two legged model of Fort Knox and the security gaurd"!?!?! Man, that's gotta be that weird, hilarious Chinese mistranslation stuff!
starting out with the construction and painting basics...these were less-than-spectacular in the "fit" department--lots of BIG gaps to be filled, and MUCH tedious sanding with needle files and emery boards...
I decided to do something different here with the faces--to paint them with airbrush. The base coat is a mix of Tamiya Dk Yellow, White, and Red.
The rest was painted with Craft Store paints...
...and here's the finished product--I decided to hi-gloss 'em, so the dust wouldn't stick, and to give them sort-of a "ceramic" look.
It's an accurate depiction; the model, I mean...if you know what I mean!
