The Commlock is an old resin kit. It took a lot of work but looks good now.
I have a Century Castings Commlock/Stungun set with metal parts and A Century Castings The Invaders season 2 vaporizor gun. His kits are very high quality and I expect a nicer build.

I stuck some soft velcro on the inside of the band as padding.

CapnMac82 Reading the title of this one, I was actuall expecting a repurpose of one of the V'ger kits into th econtrol box for Spock's brain (aproximating what they did on the show). With strip LED in clear tubing, naturally.

It was pointed out on another forum that the bottom button should be smaller and silver.

This is a screencap of the prop in the show.
I was unsure if the blackish highlights were from the video compression of the actual prop
so I kind of middle of the roaded it.

Thanks! I worked on it on and off for a few months. The print resolution was really bad on this. I tried sanding, no luck. Then filling with heavy duty scratch filling auto primer, No luck. Finally I resorted to XTC-3D epoxy. That works well.
Once I got a smooth finish I put down Tamiya primer then a coat of metalic black. I covered that with a light coat of gold then I buffed with Steelwool.
It sat like that until I figured out the buttons. A member on a trek board clued me in on the light lenses.
Once I figured stuff out it went quick. Maybe 3 days.

This is a simple 3D printed kit that I've had for about 6 months.
I ended up using just the wrist band and the controler base. The kit suplied parts were flat with no detail.
The rectangle is plastruct filled with aves. The red/yellow buttons are trimed down night light lenses, and the 2 gold domes are 12mm googly eyes.
It was filled using XCT-3D epoxy, primed and painted metalic black, then a light coat of gold was applied. I then buffed with steelwoll.
The Googly eyes are just tacked on, I might replace them and I'm looking for some cloth to line the band. I have some velcro somewhere and I think the "soft" side would work well.
