To Waynec;

Funny you mentioned the Crazy Glue.  When I first started using CA on models,  i happened to have a bottle of crazy glue on hand so i used that.  I have since tried all the other stuff and found that the Crazy glue turned out to be my go to brand .  I really like the one with the brush in it as it is very convienient to use.  I usually trim down the brush so i can get smaller drops in tighter places with it as well.

The Dollar stores sells the small tubes in 3 viscosities and works great.

From what I remember, they have thick, medium and thin. They also have a gold label which doesn't off gas, or at least very little, which is good for clear plastics. I used that once with good results, but now I use Mod Podge for clear plastic.

I will typically use the medium for assembly and use the thin if I want capillary action along seams. I will use all three consistencies for wood builds. You can also use the med and thick for filling, but it's a bugger to sand, so I only do that if I am confidant I can place a bead which probably won't need sanding.

For resins, I use their standard mix, medium or thin.

I hope that helps.

BSI,BSI yea! (Bob Smith Industries pianodog). It sells in most hobby shops (with a label under the shops name usually), or you can get it off the internet. I also use the gel and just a drop of accelerator when I have the part where I want it.

I also like the gel- it sets a bit slower and gives me a bit more time for getting the piece in the right location. I really like Loctite brand- about the best gel brand I have tried. I have begun using their thin stuff now too.

I prefer the gel to the runny stuff just because I tend to not glue my fingers together so much, seriously. But it sets slowly.

For gel I use stuff called zap-a-gap, or more recently Locktite makes a good one in a neat little bottle that has these kind of squeeze pads on the side. The advantage there is that if you point the end downwards, the whole bottle doesn't run out.

For thin stuff I use anything. I actually like the little tiny tubes that come in multipacks. The stuff dries up anyways, so why have a big bottle go hard.

Like any glue, it's better to squirt it out on something like a piece of tape and apply with a toothpick, rather than aim it at the model.

Those are just my preferences though.

Good luck!

No. Resin glues with CA (superglue).

This is an honest question,

I purchase this little cute MInion figures made of resin, can I use my regular Model master Liquid Cement For Plastic Models type of glue? Thank you all for your answers.
