I`ve built several armor kits and am now building WWII aircraft so all my finishes have to be flat.
I`ve been using Testor`s Dullcote after decaling and sealing decals with Future. The Dullcote spray cans always seem the leave a rather rough, uneven finish. It`s also been a bit of a problem to get all areas covered without runs or puddles.
Tonight I tried airbrushing Future with Tamiya Flat Base using 10 parts Future and 1 part Flat Base as listed on `The Complete Future` web page.
The coverage was great, much smoother, no bare spots or runs or puddles. The finish dried as flat as Dullcote but I`m much more satisified with the Future/Tamiya Flat Base mix, I`m planning on using it from now on.
What`s your clear or flat coat of choice.
