I've been using Testor's flat for a few years now because I got a few cans of it on a sweet trade. However, I usually have to spray up to 4 coats on my figs to actually get a flat finish. Maybe it is time for a change...

I like Model Master flat lacquer.  Not dead flat but iI think just the right sheen.  If I need dead flat, I have a second bottle that I have poured off some of the... whatever the clear part is called... the carrier?   This concentrates that flat a bit more.

K.I.S.S. Airbrushed Dullcote. Nuff said.

I've used Dullcoat for years (from bottles, not the rattle cans) and am pretty well satisfied with it.  If I want an extremly flat finish, I use Walthers DDV.  Gloss coat of choice is Floquil Krystal Klear.

I've used Dullcoat and had mixed results.  I then switched to Future/Tamiya Flat Base and have been quite happy since.  If my LHS were to start carrying Poolyscale, I might give it go but until then, I'll stick with Future/Flat Base.

Another vote for Pollyscale, but I do keep a fair amount of Tamiya flat base around in case of an emergency.

I've tried the others.... IMO PollyScale is the best. Simple to use, drop dead flat.

Polly Scale Clear Flat. The best!

Your favorite flat, clear coat?

I`ve built several armor kits and am now building WWII aircraft so all my finishes have to be flat.

I`ve been using Testor`s Dullcote after decaling and sealing decals with Future. The Dullcote spray cans always seem the leave a rather rough, uneven finish. It`s also been a bit of a problem to get all areas covered without runs or puddles.
Tonight I tried airbrushing Future with Tamiya Flat Base using 10 parts Future and 1 part Flat Base as listed on `The Complete Future` web page.
The coverage was great, much smoother, no bare spots or runs or puddles. The finish dried as flat as Dullcote but I`m much more satisified with the Future/Tamiya Flat Base mix, I`m planning on using it from now on.

What`s your clear or flat coat of choice.
