Here are some shots of my CA applying tool.  The tool is a needle stuck into a handle- a length of dowel.

The needle has the end of the eye cut off with a dremel and grinding disk.  This turns the eye into a fork.

Because the needle is stainless, the glue does not stick real well, so cleaning it is easy- place the point of an X-acto blade in the top of the fork and press downward towards the mouth and the built-up glue comes out easily.

That last hotlink was posted incorrectly. It directs to a 'leaving facebook' page which is confusing .....and a bit disconcerning to this critic of social networking. Smile

Available now!

THE THICK LOOPER (THE GLUE LOOPER v3) runs on capillary action and a unique 'loading' technique. It uses a similar action to a quill pen, draws .015" lines with your favorite THICK glue.

Just a quick update on the version 3 and Kickstarter…

Our discounted v3 pre-orders on our Kickstarter campaign will end on March 26.

We have just received the production prototype and are currently conducting tests!
We are getting OUTSTANDING results with the v3 Looper!
The v3 will represent the only self-regulating fluid applicator for THICK glues.
We'll continue testing and report on glues used in the next update.

I use a butane lighter to burn off the build up.

The Glue Looper - Version 3!

We have started a Kickstarter campaign for our NEW version 3 Looper!
V3 will be specifically designed for MEDIUM and THICK (HIGH VISCOSITY) liquids.
It will have similar functioning characteristics (within the laws of physics) when compared to our current (v2) model.

It will NOT replace our current v2, but add to our product line up.

Check it out and help make v3 Looper a reality.

Thanks, CDLLC

Oh ! ;

That's what it's for ?  I thought it was a decal dragging tool . Someone gave me a pair and said I should try it  . I know it says " Glue Looper " right on It , but it actually never registered right away  . Both sizes work great . No more brushes or toothpicks for me .

I bought the Looper last year some time.  I used it for a while.  I can't say anything bad about it, because it works as advertised.   However, somewhere along the line I ended up back to using toothpicks and/or old micro-brushes.

Again, it does work as advertised.

Hi Silver,

Below I have a model photo showing 3 figures…

Each figure has a helmet with a brown leather band.

The leather band is actually a piece of painted lead foil that is glued to the helmet after it was painted.

(As you can see there is no glue.)

This was attached with our smallest GLUE LOOPER.

If this same procedure can be done with a disposable micro brush, with no glue stain, please advise…

Thanks!

Disposable micro brushes works best because of controllability.

I use this often for my accelerator, it's a good length where I can hold the piece with one hand and add a real small drop right where I need it.  Micro Mark $8.95. I think a large needle head would work the same but this is sturdy and I don't have to manufacture a handle.

I just saw it on Sprue Brothers recently myself. I'm definitely going to order one the next time I get on Sprue Bros. The other ideas given on here work well too but if this new product works as well or better then it would be worth the cost for me.

Use the Glue Looper for the first last night reattaching a bilge keel that I knocked off by accident.  The tool worked as designed.  Using the small size looper I was able to get super thin CA right into the  attachment holes without getting any of the CA on the hull.  That was a first for me. I like it.
