Is this just a matter of sharing and gleaning on the same basic project... could you please give me an idea of what you have in mind.
It's nothing more than an "On-Line" get-together of a group of modelers who share the same or similar amount of interest building a particular model (like this one, the 1/48th B-25) or following a theme (The Battle of Britain, meaning only BoB aircraft are allowed, The Monogram Mafia, meaning the only kits allowed are Monogram kits, etc...). Other themes are particular time-frames, conflicts, operations, or theaters of operation...
It also serves as a sort of "clearing house" for reference materials and construction hints, tips, and suggestions, as well as a chance for the gang to sound off and ask questions regarding a particuar kit or subject, and it's history.. Also, it'll serve as a lace for jokes, "war stories" regarding the subject, triva, and othe useless information..
... questions on other projects/aircraft are not welcome?
"Not welcome" would be a bit strong, but unless it's a question on a technique or part(s) being used on the subject and whether it would/could work on a different one, it's generally restricted to the subject model, yes....
An example could be, "Could I use the R-2800 engine from the Monogram P-61 in the B-25J?". Another perhaps would be, " I've got the brass p/e set form the Promodeler Fort and can I use the belts and waist guns in the Mitchell?"... (The answer to A: would be "Yes, but some plastic surgery is needed", and B: "Yes")
Group Builds in the Group Build Forum are a lot more "rigid" than this one though... This one has no time limit, no start-dart/end-date, and no participant limits... You can build as many 25s as you'd like to, in as many different variations as you want, for as long as you want, as long as it's 1/48th scale...
