to the best of my knowledge, it's just youShock [:O] Seems to be running like it's usual self to me. May be you need to clear your cache??

Hmm, the forums run lightning fast at home, but slow at work.  I'll try clearing the cache on my work laptop.  Might be some leftover stuff in the cache freaking out at the server change.  Shock [:O]

hmmm, cleared my cache, then it seemed to go a little faster, until I tried to post.  Very, very slow.

Scott, there's a "special" setting to make the forums slower for specific users.  Like for you, I've set it to "intermittent periods of slowness".

There were some configuration adjustments made to that one server and forum traffic was redirected to use cs.finescale.com around 10am (CST) today.  Still feels a bit slow at times though.

Ok Dave, I see yer at it againShock [:O] Still sluggish but, not as bas as before. It seems to take about twice as long to upload a page as it does on the original link (the non "cs.")

Now let's see if this posts....

Well David, we know your doing your best at this. Friday's just don't agree with you Big Smile [:D] It took nearly 2 minutes just to get onto this page and start a post. I'm not complaining Angel [angel]Whistling [:-^], just letting you know. I think it will be the only post I get today. I tried to use the other forum address, but was bumped to the //cs.fin....... one.

Keep at it, we know you are and will get it fixed soon as you can. We're patient, till Ed finds out anywayMischief [:-,]Laugh [(-D] Unless I'm on the same plan as Scott, then.......................

Edit: Now I can again get on using the old url. Everything works fine one again, but can't see some smilies still.

Take this plastic and model it!

Drew, you're on a slightly different plan than Scott.  Yours is a variable speed plan set to fluctuate everytime you use more than 3 smilies on a post. Wink [;)]

There's good news...  it looks like it was a setting on one of the network cards.  Our network engineer just changed it and so far it looks like it's working!!

That means next week... oh, nevermind.  It can wait until Monday. Whistling [:-^]

At least our forum is working again minus the smilies and the pictures. Any idea about that problem, David?

In regards to pictures or smilies not working... for pictures, is it posting or just viewing?

Not all the smilies are showing for me some are some aren't, I'm not sure which ones and it might just be certain users. I load a pic, check preview then pic isn't there but the coding is there. When I post the coding changes and the pic isn't there. I'm using Explorer 7 if that helps.

Sounds kinda like Safari.  You get alot of html tags when you post pics or even quote another user.
(Seen your post on dubau's XP-55 thread) I quoted you & the the image appeared & all html tags were gone. Go figure.

Dave, Please don't disrupt the forums if you can avoid it. SOme of us need our FSM fix....Taped Shut [XX]
