Strange, the only just "Pineapple" I can find hasn't had a single battle.  Can't be you.  Perhaps we are on different servers?  North America, "WoT".

Yes, but if he doesn't play, he'll still be in his lol tractor.

BTW, what's your screen name, there are LOTS of pineapples.

Watchmann

I don't play in the rooms much, so i had forgotten that you don't earn experience there, so you can't progress through the game to get larger tanks.  So, Hans, if you don't want to play with the regular slobs, then you won't get much enjoyment from the game.

You can still platoon up with a couple of friends though, it makes random matches a bit more bearable. Playing company battles also nets you a good amount of experience and credits.

Standard battles are set at 15 on each side.  In a room, you need at least one on each side, max 15 on each side.

What's the room's capacity? Enough for two tank platoons or, even better, companies?

No, but you can create a "room" and invite your friends to play in that room.

Is it possible for a person set up his own passworded server and run it by "Invitation" or "Members Only"?    Kinda like what some of us did when Sierra shut down it's "Red Baron 3D" servers..

A server would be set up, and only bona-fied members of recognized Squadrons and Staffels would have access on "Game Day"...

If that's the case, then I'd play probably.. But I don't care for "open to the public" servers (unless i just wanna blow stuff up for a hour or so)

No field artillery in the game Hans...just SPG`s and TD`s. But they are talking about adding infantry and Howies in later versions....

I play aswell, my name's "Pineapple" if anyone wants to look me up. Just got my Jagdpanther today, with the long 88 it's very nice Big Smile. Also, the British tanks are being released early tomorrow, think I'll make a start on their medium line.

Also, if a tank wanders into a 155m (or even a 105mm Battery) Battery's AOF (Azimuth-of-Fire), he better be shooting at us from hull defilade first..  There are VERY few units that can match the organic fire-power of an Field Artillery Battery..  We've got the six howitzers plus a minimum of 12 .50 cals (to knock a tanks tracks off if he exposes them) for a mobilty kill.. Then the guns will eat the tank..

...especially getting one-shot-ed by an invisi-tank or some punk-azz arty driver.....

As a former "real-world" Red Leg, I can attest that an HE Quick155mm WILL take out any WW2 tank.. The issue isn't destroying a tank with direct-fire.. It's hitting it with the first round.. It usually takes three on a moving target...  But when it's "steel-on-steel", the clanker's a goner.. Gimme an M40 or even an M12...

I have a tier 3 M2MT  elite, a tier 6 Sherman M4A3E2, also elite, a Tier6 M6, crew around 96% trained, A Pz III/IV tier 5, crew close to 100% and a VK3601H tier 6, crew around 90%. I`m losing alot lately, which gets me frustrated. I had an awesome battle with my Pz III/IV, my whole team was wiped out, 5 enemy...2 arty`s, a KV-1 that was around 50% and a few others. I was defending my base and fought `em all off and won. Had a total of 8 kills that game. Beat my old best with the M2, which was 7. I keep getting put into battles where I am the lowest tier vehicle. I don`t like camping so I get into the mix and die...pizzes me off sometimes, especially getting one-shot-ed by an invisi-tank or some punk-azz arty driver.....Super Angry

And yes, it keeps me away from the bench more too....which I will be sitting down at after I finish this post...Yes

My apologies, I didn't mean to veer so far off subject. Watchman gave me a lot of help showing me the ropes when I first started. I'd love to fight with you guys. My handle is Gamera977 and have pretty much maxed out a M3 and M5 Stuart light and a M10 and T40 TD.

Back to WoT, I have been playing so much that it is seriously cutting into my bench time. I am up to a tier 6 Panzer IV. I like the idea of playing on a clan with anyone elso. How do we look eachother up on this game?

Yeah, that's where the name came from. The original name was Hi-Toro which kept being confused with the lawnmower!!!

Back in 1977 Commodore introduced the first home computer (well the first one that didn't come as a box of parts you had to build yourself) and they called it the Commodore PET - I kid you not after the pet rock fad. It was supposed to sound 'friendly'. Same with the Vic-20 - it was supposed to be a friendly name. Go figure.....

LOL guys!

Ninetalis: funny I was a Commodore guy long before I was a PC guy. If Commodore hadn't committed suicide through sheer stupidity I'd probably be typing this on an Amiga (sigh).

Gamera, the blackberry is kinda chewy, but eating is about all they are good for. Lol

FYI: you can get the happy meal with apple slices. So, you can have both if you like, and you get a toy!!

I like blueberries, blackberries make me gassy....Whistling

Ninetalis: just giving you Apple guys a hard time - Mac like Big Mac - you know a McDonald's hamburger...

I know what you meant, Thaught that you might be for real...
It wouldn't surpise me that there are guys on here not knowing what we mean with mac.
Also, they don't take a lot of space since the hardware and screen are stowed into one thing.

I'm not really an apple guy but I do love Imac's + I need one for school/my work...
I can put windows on here to and you can't put OSX on a windows, so that's kinda handy.
