I am a born and raised Vermonter, one of the six New England states. I remember as a kid, the old joke was, "Why'd they change the name from Boston to New England?" To help spread the blame. Back then, a good season was when we were ahead of the Colts in the AFC East (yes, the Colts used to be one of the five teams in the AFC East along with the Jets, Bills and Dolphins). The Bills with Jim Kelley and Dolphins with Dan Marino ruled the East for many years. Now it's the Patriots with Tom Brady. Who knows who will rule the division when he retires.
For obvious reasons, I pick New England. Their offense is pretty good, fourth in scoring. Their defense is better, #1 in points allowed. I also think it will be neat to see a man win a 5th championship. We may never see it again in my lifetime.
I don't think the Falcons will make the same mistake the Steelers made with their "basketball coverage" (i.e. don't cover the white guy with no name). But Brady turns unknowns into playmakers. I don't think they can cover the no names as well.
