SB Who you got? Rams vs Patriots
Posted by Tosh on Monday, January 28, 2019 10:35 AM

I’d have to say Tom Brady and Bill Belichick will lead the patriots to a win in SB 53.

I haven't paid much attention to the NFL since the Chargers left San Diego.  I'd like to see the Rams win.

Thanks,

John

Haven't watched an NFL game in two years since the kneeling debacle.......not going to start now.

But would be nice to see Rams knock Brady off the pedestal.  Besides, they're due.

I have no idea of the outcome, and frankly don't have a lot of faith in the outcome.

However, my daughter graduated high school the year before Jared Goff entered that school as a freshman, and we've been longtime fans of Wildcat football. It's been a real rise to be QB of the Super Bowl.

Go Rams!

Who's gong to win? I think it will be either the Rams or the Patriots.

- The Vegas spread last check was showing the Patriots by 2 and 1/2 points.

- The over / under for total points is 56.5

- Both have explosive offenses; skilled players are about even.

- Both have respectible defenses but I believe the Patriots have the edge.

- I think the Patriots will be able to get more pressue on Jared Goff.

My heart wants the Rams to win, but?...... as they say, that is why they play the game.

Same here, being a veteran and former police officer I will never again have anything to do with the NFL. Haven't missed it a bit and I was a die hard Steelers fan NFL Sunday ticket and all, never missed a game. Now I don't even keep track didn't even know who was in the playoffs this year except for Kanasas City and that's only because I live in Missouri and you couldn't help but hear about them.

Toshi, you live too close to Cleveland to have anything nice happen to Bill Belichick and the Patriots. Smile

I'd like to see the Saints win, but won't cause 4 refs from California watched an egregious helmet to helmet call and ignored it, robbing the Saints of the victory in regulation, i will be pulling for no one. The Rams got screwed over too. This NFC championship will forever be tainted by the perception of deliberate ignorance by the officiating crew.

That's pretty silly. The Saints (who I like as a team more than the Rams- Suh ugh!!!) still had an entire overtime to win the game.

And, it's not an NFL concern- they assigned the crew. It's more likely ESPN BS to stir it up.

I'm sure you are joking, but it's not right to question peoples integrity.

Just my two cents.

In the past, Ref crews were assigned post season games based on performance during the season.  Suspect it hasn't changed much.

Same ever since they started kneeling for the national anthem I've stopped watching. I agree with the former kicker for the colts who said if he was a decent quarterback he would have a job no matter what he did. Anyway go Tom Brady!

Who cares? Haven’t watched any NFL games since the kneeling debacle. I’ve lost all respect to the players that refused to stand for the National Anthem. Nor will I watch the Super Bowl again this year. I’d rather watch the Puppy Bowl instead.

Besides, I hate Brady and company - especially that big mouth wife of his. I hope Brady gets sacked and  slammed to the ground several times. Yeah, that’s how much I hate the Patriots.

As long as N.E. dosent get called for their pick plays or rub plays they will win if the refs do their jobs correctly it should be a entertaining game.

I thought I was the only one who would like to see Brady broken in half. I think a Joe Theismann ending would be appropriate for the cheater. How many draft picks lost? How many millions in fines?  They are still cheating. We just haven’t found out what their new way is yet.  I wonder how the Deflator’s weight-loss is going?....ha!

Yes. The kneeling debacle exposed the hypocracy of the entire operation.

Right or wrong or in between, kneeling was first blasted, then frowned on, then softly suggested to be out of place. See a trend there?

I only watch the SB because my wife has some fascination with the thing.

I'll be at the ATT Pro Am the next week as a course volunteer and ticket holder.

Broncos! Oops, they're not in it. Eagles! Oops, they're not in it either. Guess it would have to be Patriots.

Gerg

I have read many threads concerning the dwindling involvement on this forum. There seems to be a high turnover these days.

What has occurred on this thread may explain why some people leave or decide not to get involved once they join.

The topic is fun (Rams or Pats) and could stimulate some vigorous discussion back and forth but then we have certain people that just can’t help but turn it into a political thing. They voice their opinion as if everyone reading agrees with them. The thing is not everyone does.

If your intent is to alienate others and only have posters that agree with you then I think your strategy is working.

This is hardly the first time this has occurred. It happens much too often.

Yes I know, if I don’t like it I can leave. Good idea, enjoy your forum.

I merely stated my opinion, and the reason why I don't really care who is playing or who wins, or if anyone agrees or not. There was no apparent or intent to turn it political as you seem to have taken it.  In that I apologize.

While I can appreciate your stance on the position, I will stand by mine until I get banned or suspended by the powers that be.

Hey, is that Toshi? Great to see you back man!

I saw the first championship game with my Dad in 1967, later called Super Bowl 1. And I have seen every Superbowl since then. This is the first one I will not be watching, tired of the BS and happily switching to college football next Fall. Go Penn State!

My wife and I used to watch SB because of the half-time show and because of the entertaining commercials. Of late, the commercials have lost their luster and I have little interest in Maroon Five. However, I am sure that we will watch the game. Eventhough I am not a fan of  Brady, I am sure that the Brady Bunch will win.

What's this thing about Brady being the greatest QB of all time???? We all know that the "Punky QB" (Jim McMahn) was the greatest QB of all time and that Da Coach was the greatest coach of all time. Remember who the Bears beat to win  Superbowl XX, THE PATRIOTS!!!!!! Ha Ha. The score was 46-10. Even The Fridge scored a touchdown.

Hey Greg, What's up man??? Nobody's slaming anybody here. Chill out.

It was a dark day when my favorite college QB got drafted by the Boston Patriots.

JohnnyK

How do I insert a video from youtube?

Highlight the IP address in the search bar once the video is open, then scroll over it and right click the blue area. A drop down menu will appear and click on "Copy". Go back to your FSM forum post and in the area you want the video link left click, and then right click. Again the drop menu will appear - click on "Paste"and the link to your video will stay there.

Make sure to have 2 widows open - 1) FSM forums (2) YouTube video page
