Gerg

If your intent is to alienate others and only have posters that agree with you then I think your strategy is working.

This is hardly the first time this has occurred. It happens much too often.

Yes I know, if I don’t like it I can leave. Good idea, enjoy your forum.

I misread your name at first and thought it was Greg and got a bit sad since Greg is such a nice guy then I realized its Gerg I'm sorry but I'm not familiar with who you are. I'm also sorry that you are choosing to leave the forum because we all don't agree with or think just like you do. I wish you luck and happiness in your future modeling projects and for your search of a model forum where everyone agrees with you.

Gerg

I have read many threads concerning the dwindling involvement on this forum. There seems to be a high turnover these days.

What has occurred on this thread may explain why some people leave or decide not to get involved once they join.

The topic is fun (Rams or Pats) and could stimulate some vigorous discussion back and forth but then we have certain people that just can’t help but turn it into a political thing. They voice their opinion as if everyone reading agrees with them. The thing is not everyone does.

    GO SEAHAWKS!!! Anyone? Anyone?,

While I know it was a bad play call that lost the Superbowl between the Hawks and Pats, I'm just not a fan of the Pats.

Haven't been a Rams fan ever however I like underdogs and would like to see them paste Brady to the 50yrd line and put cleat marks in his forehead....it is like alot of other professional things, just a game, Cooper Kup(?)is from Eastren Washington University however I think he is out for an injury so. I will be at work Sunday night so all I will likely get is all the fun armchair quarterbacking here or replays on ESPN.

Wow! Lately there have been some rather sensitive souls here. Not sure why?

Anyway, since my Lions will never make it to the SB, I'm going to go with the Pat's.

I am actually watching more NFL football since the kneeling down debacle...'cause the Brown's just might have found a QB!! Boomer Sooner.

I still think college football is a hundred times better than the pros. The NFL has become antiseptic. What would John Facenda sound like on NFLFilms right now?

...And as a compound Tib-Fib "survivor", I wish nobody being "Joe Theesemaned"...it hurts like H***! Even Spawn of Satan, himself, Tom Brady.Smile

I went through decades of the Patriots losing, since they were playing in Fenway Park.

You simply don't win this long and perform at this level for so long,  by cheating.  The Patriots dynasty at this point is beyond any ability of cheating to have helped them, when looking at the dynasty as a whole.

For any mathematicians out there it's call the strong law of large numbers.

And anyone that would want to see any athlete injured, is a base level imbecile.

Anything can happen on any given day. But I say Pats in a rout. The rams won't beat Belichick, in what may well be his final game.

This gave me a chuckle. Nobody said they weren't proficient cheaters. So who is Ernie Adams and what does he do for the Cheatriots? Let me guess, his job involves the strong law of large numbers part.....lol.  The good news is most of us "base line imbeciles" outside of the Boston area know it's a tainted dynasty and always will be such. The only team in history to lose draft picks and be fined specifically for cheating. That taint will follow them forever....end of story.

I do agree that the Cheats probably have enough spy intell to come out victorious over the Rams, who in actuality shouldn't be there either.

Puppy Bowl XV was more exciting than the Super Bowl itself. High scoring game all around.

BTW... didn’t watch the Super Bowl. I wouldn’t be surprised the ratings took a huge hit. I‘ve been hearing a lot of rumblings that this year‘s Super Bowl was a huge disappointment and it sucked. Glad I didn’t waste my night to watch it.

Looks like this years Super Bowl was an expensive ticket to watch a Maroon 5 concert and a punting contest...

Well, that was a real boring game. Maroon 5 were even more boring than the game. They don't have any high energy songs that would work well at the half-time show.

Your comments and questions are always welcome.

Edelman was the real bright spot....everytime he'd make a cut, and the DB would be left wondering where he went, even when the Rams doubled him up.  Well deserved MVP award for him.

He's another Bay Area guy. Played quarterback at Wooside High and set all kinds of school records. (Woodside isn't exactly a power).

Played a year at College of San Mateo, before transferring to Kent State.

Yeah. My daughter even liked that one. She was laughing and shouting the whole time it was on. She didn't see alot of those players play but she knows who they are. We also liked the longer Alexa commerial.

About the only good thing is the Saints got payback for the blown call with the Rams. Not a Saints fan either however the missed pass interference call with helmet to helmet contact COULD HAVE changed the outcome of that game.

Congrats to the Pats in a show of good sportsmanship, some records were broken and that is interesting so. Enjoy your victory, it was earned.

I'm a Vermonter, and remember when the name changed from the Boston Patriots to the New England Patriots. The joke used to go:

"Why'd they change the name?"

"To help spread the blame."

A good season was when we were not last in the AFC East. Before the current alignment, the AFC East consisted of the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, NY Jets, Baltimore/Indy Colts and the New England Patriots.

In the 70s, 80s and into the 90s, Dan Marino's Dolphins and OJ's then Jim Kelly's Bills ruled the AFC. The Jets had some good teams in the 80s too. Pats & Colts were easy wins on the schedule.

Then the Pats got Drew Bledsoe as the overall #1 pick and got Bill Parcells as HC in the 90s, getting to the Super Bowl in the 1996-97 season. Got beat by Favre and the Packers and the Big Tuna all but out the door to take over the Jets. Owners were trying to move the team to St. Louis, but ended up selling them to the current owner.

Colts got the overall #1 pick, Peyton Manning, in 1998 and Tony Dungy as HC. Fortunately, they moved to the newly created AFC South at the same time the Dolphins and Bills started to decline and the Patriots rise.

When Bledsoe went down early in the season and the 4th string QB stepped in, most of us thought all was lost. Then the guy goes on to win Super Bowl after Super Bowl.

This Super Bowl was won by the defense. A maligned defense coached up by Belichick held the #2 scoring offense to just 3 points.

The Rams defense was very good as well. The difference is the Patriots were able to sustain drives for minutes at a time and the Rams went three and out for literally 3 quarters. Their defense was tired, the Patriots changed their offense up and finally scored a touchdown.

Well said, but no one is questioning if they are a great team. The biggest problem people have is "Once A Cheater, Always A Cheater" It does not matter what anyone says to defend it, they will always be cheaters. Do I think they are a great team? Absolutely! Do I think Tom Brady is a great QB? Absolutely. Do I think Belichick is a great coach? Absolutely. But why cheat? They went down a hole that they can never crawl out of. Unfortunatly people will never look past it. They broke the cardinal rule..

Deflategate. Enough said. Personally, the Patriots have gotten to the point they think theyre better than everybody else. This attitude turns off a lot of folks.

Too true, many of the dome teams, to include the one that started deflategate, were caught piping in fake crowd noise while the opposing team had the ball. Colts, Seahawks, Falcons, who I think got fined and lost a draft pick for it.

In the mid 2000s, some Dolphins players admitted that they were given audio tapes of Brady's signal calls so they knew what plays he was calling.

I've resisted responding so far.

But.....

For the ones who like to say the Patriots are "cheaters", do you know the facts?

Look them up.

Spygate-Everyone was doing it, Belichick did it from a slightly different spot in the stadium and for 1 more game.

Deflated footballs? The reason Brady was suspended was he defied the clown, Goodell by destroying his personal phone rather than hand it over. A personal phone, not a NFL phone.

Deflated footballs? Has anyone heard of the ideal gas law? It's physics.

Every team pushes the rules. Period.

If the haters are sick and tierd of the Patriots winning, then BEAT THEM! The Giants did it twice and The Eagles did it last year. The bottom line is the reason the Patriots win is because Belichick is the master of football knowledge and Brady is the master at playing the game. For you haters, just hang on. At some point in the future Both Brady and Belichick will retire. Then those of us in New England will have to live with the memory of past glory.

Until then the Pats are STILL HERE and will DO THEIR JOB, with NO DAYS OFF.
