I axed the Build Ups.

Something went haywire yesterday.... there was a new folder and it was broke. To fix it I deleted Buildups and its 2 child albums.

Just a reminder, dont create any new folders, :)

Got problems with uploading today. I tried to upload 4 pics. The system somehow had a problem with resizing the pics and the thumbnails did not show.

shrikes, that is correct.

When Ron rebuilt the gallery, it was at around 1,204 images and now it's up to 1,332 images. Very cool!! Smile [:)]

Just wanted to make sure since i'm still relaviely new here... i can upload pictures of my models so i can later post them on the forum or upload reference pics for others to use in building models. is that more or less it? I'll try and upload one tonight and see where it goes from there. =>

Exactly. Wait until they have moved to their final resting place before posting.

I moved all the pics that were in the upload dir to their final resting place, so you will find yours in Armor now.

Hi, Ron! Thanks again for the great service.
I finally got around to re-uploading some pix. Everything went well for the most part, but after I loaded, I experienced some strange anomalies, including some kind of nutty pop-up thing (not an ad; it was some kind of command pop-up) that wouldn't stop, until the connection dropped and I got the "cannot show page" message. Clicking back in, I got half of the pix, and the rest were Xs (throughout the gallery, seemingly at random).
After a complete reboot of my aging yet valiant computer, all seemed well with the gallery. I was quite worried that I had somehow destroyed it!
Anyway, I reckon I succesfully got some pix back up.
Now, we should wait until our pix our settled into their final resting places before we post, yes? Yup, I'm sure that's right.
Thanks again, Ron!

Everything is going great. I just need more people to upload.

The new album is also compressing and resizing for you, so it keeps everything within normal limits. This one will go the distance I think.

Hey, this is all Ron...I'm just his lackey. Smile [:)]

Ron -- I don't know if you received my message over the weekend. I couldn't move photos, then finally yesterday it was working. Smile [:)] Now at work it's not letting me move. Sad [:(]. Hopefully it's a work thing. Just letting you know in case you modified something over the weekend.

Weird...

The password has been reset back to what Ron said it was in the first post in this thread. Hopefully it was okay to do that. Shy [8)]

You know what, I bet somebody went in there and changed the password possibly thinking it would create a personal account? I don't know. All I can say is... DON'T CHANGE THE PASSWORD!!! Smile [:)]

Having trouble logging in. I put in the Username and Password listed in this thread, and it still tells me "Invalid Username or Password". I've checked the CAPS LOCK key, and it's off, I've checked and rechecked my spelling and case. Nothing has worked so far.

Ok.... New Note!

DONT WORRY ABOUT SIZE! The program will automatically resize it for you. Dont worry about compressing or dimensions. It will take care of everything, just upload them.

The only problem with that is people that dont know what deployments are/what help it would give them. The best bet is to put your vehicle pics in vehicle reference and your setting pics in diorama reference section.

So if they want to see a Paladin.. they go to Paladin.. if they want to see a burned out house in Kosovo they would go to Dioramas Reference. See what I mean?

BTW.... re upload your pics. I deleted all the old ones.

Ron,

there are a few of us that are/have been in the military, we evidentally get deployed at least once in a while in our enlistment. What do you think of creating a section for refference material from our deployment pics? I uploaded some of Kosovo before, but never really knew if they helped anyone?

Yes, you will have to change them after they move to their new home. UPLOAD is just a temp resting station while we check the size and content. Once the move to the appropriate gallery.. they will be there for a long time.

The only thing about that... we are thinking about making some sub-albums. If that happens we will be moving them into the sub-albums right away. That means it will be like albums/ww2/ or something similiar.

Photos not uploaded yet will be unaffected by this. They will go from upload to ww2axis or whatever.

Yeah, if the image was on Ron's site and was among the deleted pictures, then yes it's gone. Although it displayed here, it was physically over at the Gallery site.

I uploaded 4 pics this morning, in the "upload here" category. I then had to edit the post (change "albums/uploadhere" to "albums/upload/" to "albums/aircraft")
Will we be able to re-upload the pics without editing all the posts? (have to change "albums/upload" to "albums/ category" on all previous posts with pics)

What about somthing temporary? For someone that wants to post a picture on the forum but doesn't want it taking up space on your web site. Maybe you could do somthing like you did with the RESIZE ME or CROP ME but just put TEMP as the first words in the caption.
