Welcome to FSM, things have got a tad quiet here, but usually this is the topic to be to discuss all things Aussie modelling!

cheers

G'day everyone.

I'm new to modelling and have just started work on my first model since I was a kid, a 1/350 USS Essex.
I come from a computer wargaming background and live in Mornington (Victoria). Main interest is WW2.

Sushi, sorry I can't help either, with any of the searches that I've done I've come up with zip. You might have to try your hand at scratch building some bits for your cockpit.

I'll need to pick up my act then instead of just reading the messages to get my second star.

On the topic of the 75 SQN cards it was for one of the anniversary's as far as I know (which one I don't know) I got this info out of the 75SQN book.

Has anyone had any experience in printing their own decals? I've read a couple of sites and it seems that good results are hard to get with any certainty.

Is their any recommendations as to the type and brand of paper, sealers etc.

I've got an inkjet at home and possible access to a good colour laser printer.

Do the risks to your printer seem to outway the advantages?

I want to produce some Great War USAS Roundels, and an orange and black (and maybe yellow) symbol.

Any help is appreciated.

Celestialsphere.

What team do we all go for here? I'm an Essendon man myself (yeah I know they're not going well Sad [:(] Roll on next year though!)

John
P.S. Jazz, while you're in the GB forum, check out the RAAF 'what-if' GB!! Looks like great fun!! Big Smile [:D]
