i have heared about the use of fine liners to increase the detail in panel lines. Does anybody know what is a good size to use on the panel lines in 1/24 scale cars? I Have tried 0.5mm but they are 2 large?

In England the legal age is also 18. Doesn't stop every teenager trying to get blotto well before that though!!!! Wink [;)]Tongue [:P]

Hey Chris what is the legal drinking age in England? I know its 21 in the USA. I had kind of forgotten about that until I went back and i realized i couldn't order anything from the bar. Had been used to it being legal to drink here when you are 18.

Hi guys yesterday I went down to super cheap auto and got on of my birthday presences, an air compressor. It is 2hp and has a 21 litre tank, and it’s painted in a kind of John Deer green color. I am still waiting for my airbrush but that should be here soon. Thanks for the help in finding the compressor and super cheap auto, I would have never thought about going there.

Good to have you back in Australia Chris.

Im glad you posted NKR models website, I once had it but lost it on my last move and also decided to update my computer at the same time, Dunce [D)]Guess who didn't keep a copy of his favorites folder.

Must agree with you about their service.

Howdy All, My name is Mick, i'm in Sid-Knee, it's been about 20 odd years since i've built a kit, just the usual lack of time, access to a shop(spent quite a few years in a remote part of the Kimberleys in NW WA..) seems things have changed a bit in the feild of 1/35 AFV gear available...i remeber when (look out here comes G'pa....)when you had to scratch build anything that wasn't available in either factory kit form or from Mr Verlinden, now, what ever(most..)you wish to build is available, it's UNREAL!!.....anyway, a couple of questions, who supplies Aber in Oz?? and is any one building a 1/16 Tiger1 (static)?? going to have a go at some interior bits. I've picked up one of Dragons ZSU-23-4m kits and i'm going to town on that to get the eye back in, i've got the Eduard PE kit and a shirt load of Evergreen plas. i'll post some pics eventually, still deciding on counrty, Leb, Russia,Iraq or Syria....anyway gotta go( i'm on night shift...)looking forward to chatting etc to you all. Mick.

I have a question for the ones of you who have airbrushes. Where did you get your compressor and what type is it? And also how much did it cost? Thanks in advance.

I picked up my current compressor ( an Arlec Enforcer) at Kmart for about $100, been very happy with it, can also use it for other purposes. Before this a had used a Hobby style compressor with air tank that cost about $230, was not very happy with it, couldn't maintain require pressure on a large job.

Guy's

Started with a perpose built artist 1/8 HP compressor with a 20 litre holding tank and auto shut off, bourght a second that had been canibalized for parts, fitted the tank to my own as a dual system, run two airbrushes from this unit, either a Paasche VL or the Lenco 301

Sign - Welcome [#welcome]aboard DesertWombat and welcome to Oz. Glad to see you like the local wildlife,Just make sure you keep a sharp eye out for all the Crocs.Wink [;)]

My local LHS is Springwood Mr toys Toyworld About halfway between Bris and the GC on the Pacific highway...They don't have everything that i need but what LHS ever has,so i usually do some mail ordering from Snowy MTN models.

Badger AB i got my 175 Crescendo from my LHS for $400.00 AU,So taking Bob's advice and shipping it from the States sounds like a sound idea.
Regards J.S

(PS) Tweets i have Revells Pro Modeler ME 410B and it's comparable to a Hasegawa kit, excellent detail and a good fit.
But i do stay far away from the Revell kits you see at Kmart and BigW.

Wow guys thanks for the help, and the happy birthdays.

Bob unfortunately I am not able to go shopping this weekend but I will be going next weekend. But I am also going to set up a website to host pictures of my, to do, collection of models that have travelled internationally with me.

Luke I just love the wombat, it such an interesting creature. I guess that includes most animals in this country.
