Nope. Sorry. I can't spell to save my life. Doesn't help that I'm dyslexic either.

I can arrange it to be... Stick out tongue

J/K..

MrSquid, I'm a 50-something Dad too, my "Li'l Girl" is 30, builds models sometimes, but she's also a US Army CW3,  a Blackhawk pilot, and is prepping for her transfer to Ft Rucker, AL in the fall to transition to Apaches...   She can handle anything the male pilots throw at her... Heh... Really freaked me out once back in 2002, while we were spinnning up for OIF 1 was that she was flying one of the slicks that I was waiting for on an air assault  shortly after she'd gone to her permanent party unit...

Didn't know her unit was supporting ours that day, and it kinda shocked me when I heard her voice on the radio at the PZ, lol...  That's when the "Dad" pucker-factor will go to a plus-five, I'm tellin' ya...  It went like, "Thunder 56 (me), Hawkeye 44 (her), inbound with three Hawks, one mike. Pop smoke"...  I answered, "Hawkeye 44 Thunder 56, smoke out", and she replied, "Hawkeye 44, Roger yellow smoke. Thanks,  Daddy"... Wink

 Anyhow, welcome and show pics

Man... I would get SOOOoo banned for the remark I wanna write here...

LOL, go on, i dare ur.

Nah... But it had to with her avatar,  the words the Smeaglett wrote about  "show pictures" and the word,  "ta-tas"...

Whistling

I think it might be ßreast if you keep that one to yourself Embarrassed

And I will try to find a better picture to use.

Good pun, E-J...  As Woody Allen once said, "Anyone who uses puns should be drawn and quoted"...  But, I was really directing my comment at Smeagol, not you...  Most of his female aquaintences are avatars or anime... Sorry about that bit of confusion...  Nothin' wrong with your pic, either...

Manstein may be 229 years old, but I'm a Neanderthal, as you can see from my own avatar...  Got three ex-wives to prove it, too...  Wink

maybe you are right, I probably don't want this much attention. But at least the attention I DID get wasn't obnoxious!!  Wink

As I would hope it would be for any female enjoying this hobby and I'm always glad when those ranks grow and can only hope that all existing "guys" can remember that we're here to share the hobby and not somehow save a membership fee to a dating site, or worse.Hmm

I'm in my fifties and AFAIK the couple of ladies who have revealed their genders here are what I would call "young". Being a dad I'd hate to think that if I had girls (I have only boys) who enjoyed this hobby they'd ever encounter behavior that would cause them to pause to participate. Not trying to preach to anyone just hoping "we" can somehow remain respectful.Smile

Indeed, now that you have had a "proper" introduction from a real gentleman, please pull your pretty face up in a chair and have some tea and crumpets with us, as we are not into stereotypes in here...one lump or two?

Well, now that they all got their yucks,WELCOME ABOARD and GLAD to have you with us.My girls(and I include the ones I was and am married to, taught me that stereotypes don,t fit in todays life.) I raised three married and outlived one and the other one is terminally ill and in a home. They ALL have and had an avid interest in my modeling. I built on commission a 4' steamboat (1865 southern river sternwheeler) for TRUSTHOUSE - FORTE intl. For the CONVENTION CTR.  HOTEL in LITTLE ROCK ,AR. All my girls had a part in it.My wife cut out parts. My daughter (the oldest)Trimmed them. The middle girl sanded and primed them and the littlest one put them in ready stacks for daddy to work from. My middle daughter loves building BIG RIGS and has since I bought her one of the (,1/16 scale  MONOGRAM "PETERBILTS and FLATBED trailer) for CHRISTMAS.She still builds them today.I believe you call them LORRIES don,t you?I have always had a fixation for BRITISH high end motorcars like the ASTON-MARTIN ,Jag -"E" models and saloons as well as my love an AUSTIN-HEALEY 100-6. I once even owned a WOLSLEY? did I spell that right? So you just make a spot of tea , sidle up to the work-bench and model away. I still haven,t figured out the right way to post pics, but, I am one of the fellows that practices the modeling "BLACK-ARTS" Yes ,I admit it. I build ships ,things that look like ships ,smell like them and darn it are. I enjoy them most. When I finish a ship for a client,(I am NOT patronizing you,)I enjoy A large cuppa (EARL GREY with a little lemon) and give myself a well done.I am so glad to see a PRETTY face instead of all these gnarly ones ,WELCOME AGAIN   tankerbuilder

Punctuation mate, fer crissake!  A paragraph every now and then would be good as well.  Two spaces after a full stop and stop CAPITALIZING wherever you feel necessary.  Your posts give me a headache (not necessarily  the content, the way they are laid out.
