But his own contract does contain a clause that protects him...........

I try to spend equal amounts of time between modeling, American Civil War reenacting and WWII reenacting.  Try is the key word there!

Easy for me to get a couple hours at night at modeling than anything else.

Definitely my number one. With the time demands of work and two young kids, it's pretty much the only hobby I've got time for.

Hopefully as the kids get older I'll be able to return to some other hobbies - mountain biking, hiking, maybe even getting my hands on a 1:1 project car...

My number 1 hobby is fishing. Modeling comes second. Good thing is I can fish during the day and model at night!

Yes, but every several years this hobby becomes 1b in favor of model railroading. This usually lasts for a few years then flips back. I'm currently as involved in modeling as I have ever been, even though the build rate doesn't reflect that.....

As others have already also mentioned, for me it's a seasonal thing. The winter months (and there's a lot of 'em up here) are pretty much model building, but it loses its appeal a bit when the weather gets nice and gives way to the gardening equipment and the power tools, especially with adequate daylight lasting through 11pm.

I'd say it's my first as well.

Dirt Biking and Hare Scramble racing would be my second, but I haven't been doing much of that since moving to North Carolina--nowhere to keep my bikes here, for now, until Jenn and I move into a new place in December.

When racing season was in full swing, racing and maintaining my bikes was first for the summer months.

Lately, I've also been getting BIG TIME into exploring the old coal mines and mining areas of Pennsylvania's coal country. If I ever disappear unexpectedly for months, have them search for my body in an old coal mine.........

#2 is Rock Hounding. Although it may very well be Reference Book Collecting as my library is far larger than my stash and  I'm still buying and reading them.

Modelling is probably tied for number one with fishing.  If I'm not being perplexed by plastic, I'm being frustrated by fish.  Both contribute equally to the happy downward spiral of my sanity.

Shoot, even the opposite sometimes - playing the pants off of Company Of Heroes had me building even more! I still want to try to build every unit type...

Hmmmmm, guess #1 would be reading large amounts of SF with a little history and fantasy thrown in as well.

#2 would be either modeling or PC games. I find it funny that I've heard people claiming 'video' games would destroy modeling for over thirty years now when I find plenty of time for both.

Hard to say if its number one or not. I'm in a bowling league that lasts for 36 weeks. I paintball starting at the end of this month, every other Saturday (with an occasional travel scenario) all the way to Halloween. My job certainly has had an impact on my building. I work shift work so I'm tired a lot due to not having a set sleeping pattern. 

Seasonally... plastic models are #1 October thru April; May thru September, #1 is softball. Of course I always have time for reading, mostly military history/modelling mags etc. I guess that would be a constant #3.

Way to go RedC!   Man if I lived in Sarasota, I'd be still at it too (of course, there's that messed up achillies heel that has me only on the bike).  Keep it up, what a great sport, it's how I met my wife.

I've been modeling since the late 50's but spend more time these days training for triathlons than modeling.  I'm definitely addicted to endorphins.

Unfortunately, my day job and housework tend to get in the way of both.

Modeling and cycling are running neck and neck...think I spend about the same amount on each (bikes ain't cheap). More modeling in the winter, more cycling in the summer, with spring and fall seeing a happy medium between the two!

It used to be number one and probably is #1.5 right now. My number one hobby is probably playing the MMORPG World of Warcraft.

Just kidding, this is by far my #1. I used to collect Military Helmets, but they got too expensive and how do you display 100 helmets???
