I once had the Renwal Essex class carrier model in my unbuilt collection,,,,,,but, before I built it and the remaining Revell Essexes I had in the stash,,,,,,I sold off my unbuilt carrier collection to forum members on the various sites I am a member of

I wanted to do some things in aircraft that I hadn't had the chance to do,,,,,so I sold off all 80+ carrier models and the detail sets that went with them

I built at least one of each tooling I had, except for the Renwal

I don't regret it too much,,,,,,,my carrier collection all sold for enough to buy 2-4 Navy aircraft models per ship model for my aircraft squadron collection

 There's plenty:

-A decent 1/48th scale B-24. (I don't call the one I'm working on "decent", but be advised the J is much better and straighter in the fuselage than the assymetrically moulded D....)

 -A 1/48th C-46

 -A 1/48th Ki-67

 -A 1/48th Il-4 (soon to be realized)

-A 1/48th H8K Emily

-A decent 1/48th Me-109G-6 (Zvezda is close, but still an F)

-A decent 1/48th Yak-9

-A decent 1/48th Pe-2

 -A 1/48th FW-200 airliner

 -A 1/48th Coronado

-A 1/48th G4M2 Betty w/Ohka (absolutely impossible to do from current G4M1)

-A 1/48th Ki-57

-A decent 1/48th Tempest

-A 1/48th Ki-21

-A 1/48th C-54/DC-4 (deserves to be higher on the list!)

-A decent 1/48th B-29 (ditto!)

-A 1/48th Pe-8 (!)

I could go on...

Blacksheep, most, if not all of those subjects are available today in one kit or another. I would love to find some of the OOP kits that cost an arm, leg, and "ahem" other appendage on vatious collector auctions sites like Revell's 1/32 Jack/Raiden, Mirage 5, and other such kits for a far more affordable price...

It's simple Bronto.... life. Dating, going out and having fun in my 20's and finally marriage, a new house, and a baby on the way. I've been away from this hobby for 20 plus years. The list I made were kits I had wished I had done then. Now they're on my wish list. Heck, now I'm having a little hard time looking for time to start or finish a kit. Little league, yard work, and the dreaded "honey to do" list now that's summer will soon be upon us are the minor delays.

You say you never had a chance - what's to stop you from doing them now?

I thought it would be fun to hear what model kits you never had a chance to build.

I've had so many I wanted to do but never had a chance to. A short list:

Aircraft kits:

Sopwith Camel and Red Baron (Folker)

Kitty Hawk

Hellcat / Wildcat

Zero

Spirit of St. Louis

B-24 Liberator

Space Shuttle piggy back on a 747.

Airliner - If my memory served me well, I think I did a Concord at one point. But I definitely would love to do a Constellation airliner.

Automobiles:

'49 Mercury

Fire truck

Tractor & trailer - I've done a Peterbilt when I was younger but that didn't come out to well. LOL!
