Rambo

So one of my new years resolution's was not to buy any new kits this year only AM parts and build from the stash. Well I fundged a bit and traded a few kits for Dragons 1/35th Leopold rail gun. I didn't really know how big this sucker was going to be untill it showed up at the door today.

Stash 8

Now I just need his big sister, Soararts 1/35th Dora to go with him!Whistling

You may have to trade your entire stash for a Dora!

I really want that one too.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Mopar Madness

Of course when they say “January release”, they really mean by the end of February!  Sad  Even then, it’s a solid month before inventory shows up a stateside.

It was announced yesterday on the Airfix site thats its out and ready to order. The shops normaly get them a few days later, Hannants has it listed as ariving this coming week. My LHS gets tehre around the same time, though the LHS had the FG.1 on the shelf a couple oif days before Hannants.

Bloody hell MM, you got shares in Airfix. Nice haul.

Ha, it sure looks that way!  I’m patiently awaiting the arrival of the FRG2 and 1/48 Hunter to arrive stateside.  Your build of the RN Phantom really has me wanting the RAF variant.

I am popping into the LHS tomorrow for some paint. I doubt it will be on the shelves there just yet, but if it is i will grab one. If not, i will get it next weekend. I have known which one i was doing for ages, going to do the box art aircraft based in the Falklands.

Real G

Mopar Madness,

That is one heck of a haul!  Merry Christmas to you!

Yes Airfix is certainly one of today’s “happening” model companies. Who knew we would see a 1/48 Sea Vixen or Javelin (aka Dragmaster)?  And a 1/72 Swift - something I’d expect only from MPM or Sword.

And my evil agents have whispered to me that Vulcans are being studied by the Airfix team!  Hey Airfix, don’t forget there’s a Sunderland at RAF Museum Duxford...

Thats good news, if correct, that wopuld deffinetly suggest next year or 21 at latest.

G, just checked the site, and the new Phantom has finally arrived.

Oh wow... a new tooled Vulcan would be a very welcome addition!  I figure they’re due for one.  A new tooled Concorde and Sunderland would be great too!

Joe that storch is a beautiful kit my wife got it for me last year it's next on my to build list.

That's an awesome wife you have there. Mine will be a while till I get to it. I just lucked out by winning this at auction for $30.00. I hope when you get to yours that you will do a WIP for us.

I forgot two. I got them at HL wit the coupon.

I've been wanting a tiger for a while......so.....it's a little squat. I think the Tamiya may be a little more accurate.

Next, to continue my modern air benge.

I ordered the Hase 1/72 A-7, Hase 1/72 F-16CJ Block 50, Academy 1/72 F-35A and a Hase 1/48 A6M5 Type 52 Zero. I couldn't help myself. Pics when I get e'm

Received this in the mail today. I'm excited to have added this really beautiful kit. Interesting feature of this kit is that the side clear parts are molded into the fuselage halves. Quite ingenious for this particular aircraft.

That is an amazing load of fun you've acquired there Archangel Shooter. I especially like the King Tiger and accompanying interior set. That ought to be one premier build.

Hey Joe- it looks nicely molded, little to no flash and nice looking decals.  I dont think I've ever done an italeri car model.

I'm certainly intrigued with watching you build that sweet kit.

Nice stuff AS!  Who makes and what is the scale of the last two pilot figures?

Hi Keavdog...The figures are by Reedoak Rubber Composites out of France. I first learn of them from a modeler on his Scale Navy FB site. That guy just finished scratch building a 1/32 S-3 Viking.  The figures come in 1/32, 1/35 and 1/48th. I ordered the 1/32 figures to go with my Trumperter A-6. There's also figures of Navy aircraft handlers and Army/Navy helicopter crews which looks so real too. Check it out.

Real G: Oh wow those figures look awesome! Maybe you could have them fighting the Kappa you posted a few months back (yeah not the same scale but he could be a GIANT Kappa!)

John: Cool!

Archangel: Nice haul, I can never have enough paint and those look like great sets. Love those figures!!! Hope you'll post the large ones when they're finished (and hope the mods don't have an issue with them!)

For Christmas the wife got me these paint sets....Outstanding!

These were some of my 2018 Acquisitions.

I found an excellent King Tiger crew set to sit inside the tank, will be ordering it prior to starting on the model.

I bought this one the other week to go with a 1/32 pin up like figure. Which I started for the German armor GB.

Also picked up some 1/6th scale figures.

These two were my last official 2018 purchases and waiting on them to come in the mail.

Now to find the time to build them all and everything else in the stash.

Hmmm Stik, yes there is a strong resemblance.  But the nod goes to the Jin Roh guys as they appeared in a late 1980s live action movie.  There is also an animated as well as a recent Korean live action film.

Nothing against the Deathtroopers, as I quite like their design.
