I need more kits like I need another hole in my head, especially ships, but I went to Scalefest and well...you know.

and something to rust up, well maybe not the Nomad.

Steve

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

My New Years resolution was to not get anymore kits 'til my stash was under 20. Made it to the end of May. My Ebay guy had an auction and I picked up "these beauts" for $25. They may not be the greatest kits in the world, but they fit in nicely with my one of everything from WWII. Oh, I also have a Revell Ventura coming on a slow boat from Germany.

Knox & Bobby: Cool! Please post those when you get around to building them. I don't know when I'll get to start on my Jaegers. BTW were you guys able to find Obsidian Fury? I've been waiting for HLJ to get mine in for over a month now.

Pat: Wow, I think that's a real vintage kit there!

This one?

https://www.amazon.com/Bandai-Hobby-Obsidian-Pacific-Figure/dp/B0784QJ6C3/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1527538965&sr=8-1&keywords=Obsidian+Fury+model

HobbyLinkJapan is my go to place for a lot of that sort of stuff these days and my copy of that Jaeger has been out of stock for over a month and a half so far. Guess I should just cancel the order and get it from Amazon- Thanks!!!

Bruce: Thanks for posting the finished models. I want to start on mine but I need so badly to finish something before I start them....

Steve: Looks awesome! And no worries, I know nothing about 'water' effects, anything you tell me would me more than I know now.

Picked this up on friday.  looked good from the box pictures. (yes I bought it cuz of the box art)  liked the fact that it has opening canopies.   the detail looks really good,  the only down side is that it has raised panel lines,  but on a 1/72 even if you sand them off i think it would still look good,  you could also rescribe some of the major lines.

John i will trade you those raised panel lines for the trench system on the new Airfix kit.

is that the kit they reviewed here?  the UK model?

Ye, the Royal Navy one. Really nice looking kit, but deep panel lines.

That makes more sence. I didn't think they would be 8 to 12 inches for $25 +/-.

You are correct on that.

I just measured my Star Wars Bandai builds and the Stormtroopers are 6"  So if you have any or have seen those, that is about how tall they will be.  I think they are still in the near future for me...I mean my daughter, yeah, I'm getting them for her.  Embarrassed

They're about 6" tall:

And they are posable!

I bought this one for my son for his birthday a week ago, he had it built in a couple hours.

How tall are these Jaegers?

I'm not sure...I haven't pulled the trigger on them yet.  LOL!  But the Amazon description says 2x2x6.  That seems a bit small, but not sure.  Guess I'll have to order one to find out. Whistling

Any excuse to buy a kit.  LOL!

Eagle90,  I’m out for the day, but I can look it up when I get home, and post sprue shots if you would like. It might be tomorrow, depending on when I get home.                  knox.

Thanks!  No rush, just wondering if they were snap fits like the Star Wars kits.  LOL!  We had Pacific Rim going as the whole family did models last night together.  My daughter is doing the Moebius Black Widow, and my son and I did the Bandai BB-8 and R2-D2.

That is cool. The kits are snap fit, and they do look like they will be fun.

Thanks Knox.....we have already put three of them in our Amazon cart!  LOL!  I have a feeling they will be here soon.  ;)

Thanks again!

Since we all know that “lack of willpower “ could never be the cause of a kit purchase, I shall blame this purchase on an earlier post by Gamera.  They look like they will be a lot of fun to build.

WOAH!!!!!  I was not aware they made Pacific Rim stuff!!!  My daughter loves the movies and I think if I was to try my hand at this genre, this is where I'd start!  I see they are Bandai...are they snap fit like the Star Wars kits?  Sorry for the novice question on robots.  New genre for me.  :)

ManCityFan

I can't keep up with you guys!!  I do check this thread frequently, and am constantly jealous of all those great kits you are getting.

So this came in the mail this week:

IMG_0801 by Dwayne Munk, on Flickr

The review called it a "diorama in a box".  Includes multiple bagged sprues, two actually decent brushes, Humbrol acrylics in little plastic pots, and a 45 page instruction booklet.

My first Airfix kit, and first UK plane.  Look Bish, it's not a Spitfire!  Big Smile

Yes

I have the larger 72nd set and looks really detailed and yours does look like it has everything it needs for a dio.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
