Have the old blue CJ-7 two in one on the way, as well as an old Revell 1/72 PBY-5, and just got in the mail today the old Heller 1/400 Surcouf with the resin and PE upgrade from Germany.  Along with a set of decals for the PBY for a NZ SAR bird stationed in the Solomons at the end of WWII

Sheese.....you going to start a new LHS?

That will keep you out of trouble for a week or two.  Would keep me in the doghouse forever when the lady saw all that.

I added the front radio on mine. Photo's show an antenna in that location. I did the same for my AFV club /3 D. I think it would still have that radio as well as the other for higher comm's. And my Panzer Tracts referance books mention it being fited. Either way, the seat would stil be in place. All of my Dragon 251's have come with Magic Tracks and i even have extras to use on other kits, i do like those track sets.

Nice haul Rambo. That 251 is a nice kit, not seen it in that boxing before.

Thanks Bish. Like all orange box kits it has some of the fancy parts removed like the two part driver seat but I got at least one in my spares bin. The instructions call for the passenger seat to be built along with the front radio but I don't think that is true about the 251/6. It also comes with the workable magic tracks so another plus.

This is what I picked up this month

Stash 1

Stash 2

Then I got these two at the Roscoe Turner show and swap meet down in indianapolis earlier this month. The RAF Defiant was given to me by a guy who struck up a conversation with me over the Black widow. I never have heard of the company classic airframes and have never built any British subject before either so should be fun. Stash 3

Ok someone needs to stop me!   I went to a different LHS yesterday looking for three things, and I said I'd only buy one of the three things on my list if they were there.  well none of them were there so I brought this home.

It's a beautiful kit!  great panel lines and decent ordinance.    May have to look for different decals, we'll see.

John

That is a great kit.  The Fujimi A-7's are awesome

Bish

Well, come on. You can't visit the LHS and come out empty handed.

Funny you should say that, cuz I was actually thinking the exact same thing standing looking at the wall of models, I came all the way accross town,  I have to get something even if I get in trouble when I get home, or the bil comes in the mail! Surprise

John

Yeah, waist of time otherwise.

Eagle & TJ: Those are some impressive hauls!!!

John: That's a gem of a kit! The one I built for the 229 GB years ago went together like silk.

Yes,  I know what you mean.  it's one thing to look at the directions before you buy it,  but when you get it and open it up!  and I only paid $16 for all this, it is a bonus.  I think I might only need seat belts/harness.

Picked this up on friday at my LHS.   I'm not a huge Luft 46 guy but since there is actual physicalversion of this I got it.   I won a Pioneer2 kit of this at our last show but it was so primative I decided to get the revell version.  Much more detailed, should be fun.

Nice haul Bobby, glad to see you got that AT-ST and those Battlestar Galactica kits look interesting. That Centurion will be a good sized build.

Hey Bish,  yeah, they had pretty good prices for the At-St and Poe's Boosted X-Wing.  Counldn't pass them up.  LOL!  I saw the BSG stuff and the guy gave me a deal I couldn't refuse.  LOL!  The Centurion will be over 13" tall!

That's probably it. I built it in junior high school (1975-78). I loved the discount department store that opened around that time; they carried the complete line of 1/72 Matchbox airplanes and 1/76 armor. I bought and built just about every one of them.

I know the one I liked had a paint scheme with a black belly and the tail gunner looked like a ball with four .303 machine guns. I think it had a cross stitch looking frame, was supposed to be wooden.

Vickers Wellington?

Sounds like it.

Rob, if so, it was a metal frame covered with fabric, this was for the wings as well as the fuselage. Designed by Barnes Wallis, of bouncing bomb fame.

I went to the model show in Venice Florida yesterday.  Great builds in the contest, but the vendors were a little lighter then last year.  I still ended up with a few kits.

I know.....I have a strange collection.  I've been described as the King of Misfit models.  LOL!  Like the Rudolph claymation story with the King of Misfit toys....I see a kit and know I can give it a good home!  LOL!
