There's still a lot of Verlinden figures out there, at least in the 120mm scale.  I don't see the aircraft detail sets they made which came with resin, PE and other materials.  Very nice - I still have a couple.

Yeah I've been picking them up here and there. But it's kinda annoying to think that one day they'll all be gone. 

After 6-12 months on backorder this is finally on it's way!

When our youngest son was 21 we took his Beetle to a specialist 911 builder Frances Tuthill. He did suspension/paint etc to make it ready to show in the Cal-Look class. Two of these were in his workshop along with about twenty other 911's, 914's, and 356's all being restored. His son Richard still supplies classic 911's for racing and rallying.

That is a first rate score Pat. I'm sure well worth the wait. Glad it finally arrived in your stable. I'm not overly familiar with that manufacturer. How is the quality?

Thanks Joe and John. Joe the quality is superb, I've already built a racing BMW M3 from the same manufacturer. No John the Rothmans logo was not allowed. There were problems advertising tobacco products in the 80's specially in the Far East/Suadi Arabia etc.

Took it another decade to get over here, but those tabacco sponsors were booted out of our racing scene, especially NASCAR, by the anti smoking crowd.

Our eldest son (53) in Calgary sent me a LEGO E-Gift voucher for my birthday last week (74). After buying online the box arrived a few minutes ago from Belgium 3 days later. The kit has 1106 parts, and box is 19" long 11" wide and 5" deep! These large kits always come with a free gift, in this case some flowers!

Aggieman: The Ju-188 is an odd kit. I'm building the original boxing of the Dragon E-1 version and it's been an interesting jouney for me. The detail is excellent but the fit is kinda bad. I've been using LOTS of putty and sanding.

John: Nice haul- that's a good kit. And the stand looks like a big improvement over my wedging decal setting bottles in a the corner of a kit box to make sure they don't tip over. 

How in the wide wide world of sports did I let 2 months go by without updating my gains let alone acknowledge everyone elses wonderful additions? Good Grief!!! Well, I best be to getting as caught up as possible.

Let me start by saying that you all have been immensely impressive in your stash packing endeavors. 

Bish: Yeah, I may be going all the way back to jan. but, I have to commend you on picking up the Arma Widcat and the Eduard Hellcat. I am in total agreement about the Eduard 1/72 Hellcat. It is hands down the best kit I've built to date. I acquired another in the new boxing as well. Can't wait to get into my Wildcat. Overall, you have done very well in all of your new buys.

Steve: Sure like the dio additions as wellas the figures. No doubt you will put them to good use. 

John: Holy smokes son! You have been incredibly prolific and all over the place. Some really outstanding adds. The older Tamiya Hayate is sweet. You'll see here shortly that I've gone a bit Frank happy lately. The 1/144 Connie, Typhoon, Macchi 205, 217k and the U-boat are sick also. Seriously, just too much to mention. It is all good my friend.

Stik: Good to see you adding quality armor at a steady rate. You always find really intriguing subjects. Enjoy that you got yourself an F7F Tigercat. Those are still rather decent kits

As advertised, here be the gems I've accrued over the past couple of months.

As I mentioned to John, I've been on a Ki-84 Hayate kick as of late. Not to mention a few other Japanese aircraft. Franks first.

And no sooner than I had got these I find Arma Hobbies new release. This sent me into cartwheels and subsequently onto the couch in pain. I have already pre ordered this box of sweetness.

Then a 1/48 Raiden to boot.

BTW I didn't know much about the Frank.  Did some reading it seems it was the best Japanese fighter in WWII.  A real hotrod.

That's quite a haul!  Yep, that Arma Hobby Ki-84 kit will be the bee's knees.  I had a look at a friend's P-51B/C from the same manufacturer, and from the looks of it, Arma Hobby is gunning for Eduard level quality and detail.

It is a good time to be a 1/72 airplane modeler!

Dunno if she's adorable but it was affordable. Picked up this Yak-1 in a club raffle for twelve smackers. Always loved Accurate Miniatures kits- would have been happy to pay about three times as much but twelve bucks suits me fine.

I built that Strat a few years back. Nice kit but lacking in any interior detail. Makes an impressive display.

Any Accurate Miniature kit nabbed is a bonus. Any Accurate Miniature kit scored at that price is downright awesome. Well done Gamera.

Kudos Aggieman on finally adding the Hellcat. I am certain that that beast will bring you many happy hours at the bench. Although one of my favorite aircraft, I unfortunately simply do not have the space for that large example.
