Interesting. Scalemates shows that box as the 1981 release. Makes sense since it is a Matchbox. The next release is in 2021 as an AMT again. 

My purchases today.  I took the day off to get new tires put on the wife's car.  Guess I should have gone to work.  When I retire in a few months ( or weeks ), I look forward to having stuff to show in the " figure" category.  I haven't played any games with them yet, but our group plays every Tuesday, with an occasional Saturday, all day tournament.  

Thanks Pat & Tcoat, I was wondering if it were a reissue or an original kit from the '80s.

Again ebay uk have come up with a used Tamiya 2005 WRC Scooby, not in the standard metallic blue moulding! But in white, so it may well be totally different from the box art!

I'm leaning towards similar purchases like Keavdog recently, this time I got a wonderful deal on a Trumpter 1/35 CH-47A Chinook.

It will go well with the CH-54A Tarhe.

I'm leaning towards similar purchases like Keavdog recently, this time I got a wonderful deal on a Trumpter 1/35 CH-47A Chinook.

It will go well with the CH-54A Tarhe.

Those are two giant whirlybird kits!!!  I do hope that you have plenty of display space for those two!

I have 3 new additions (actually, 5) to the stash.  I've continued my pursuit of old Monogram kits in the baby blue boxes.

Nice trio of scores Aggie! Ive been wanting one of those Monogram early Hueys for a long time!

This just in.  Weird stuff, as usual.

The T-54-1 intrigues me as it, like the T-44, is a "missing link" between WW II and Cold War Soviet tanks.

The rest intrigues me equally as well.  

Aggieman, the box art on those early Monogram boxes were great!  I remember building that 1/48 Huey at least twice as a kid.  Like you I've been "collecting" some old Aurora & Monogram kits most recently from an estate sale and  I picked up several of the old 1/32 Monogram armor kits.  Keep them coming Aggieman!

Aggieman: Those fifty year old boxes look in better shape than the fifty-two year old me... Congrads! And I LOVE  the big Spit!

My latest addition is Great Wall Hobby's P-40B Warhawk.

The box is far larger than it really needed to be for this particular warbird, even in 1/32nd scale.  If it wasn't already the case, this addition definitely makes the P-40 the top kit in my stash/built collection.  Off the top of my head, I count 2 in 1/72nd, 3 in 1/32nd, and at least 13 in 1/48th.

I didn't expect this kit to arrive yesterday.  Got it from an eBay seller in China, and the estimated arrival date was some time in August.  Guess they need better shipping estimators over there.

These beauties arrived yesterday.  Not sure what I did here, but glad the picture posted. 

Aggieman, that P-40 is an amazing kit.  I took this picture at a model show in March.  Crazy amount of detail.  Hope you have a lot of fun building it.

Those look so cool Real G! I've got the Dragon/DML M103 but knowing the quality of Takom I'd expect this one is probably much better. 

And what can I say about the star there!?!?! I really want to see how you're going to paint and weather the figure.

The DML M103 got some bad press from the experten, although I do not know enough about the actual vehicle to be able to readily see the problem areas.  I have not seen any scathing reviews of the Takom kit yet, but you never know!

I'm going to try to get Gamera assembled and ready for paint by this weekend, so stay tuned!

The glacis plate should be angled at precisely 12.2 degrees. That one is clearly 12.24 degrees and this makes the kit useless. I will throw it away for you for $5.

   Not an expert on that particular kit however the green plastic that it is molded in is the wrong color, it should be more yellow. I agree with Tcoat...kit should be trashed. I'll pay shipping.
