wow....it has the lug near the muzzle too....a lot of people don't know why the original had that on it.  The piece attached to the side of the barrel, if I recall right, was so that you could twist the gun, put the muzzle through slit openings on their armored vehicles, and then turn the gun upright, and that lug would keep the barrel from recoiling back into the interior of the vehicle.  Always nice to keep your bullets flying away from you, and not bouncing around in there with you, I suppose.  I did not even know that GSG did one of these....

Always loved that story about the VA-25 toilet bomb.  Those pics are surprisingly clear, considering the vintage.  Thought you might be able to use some shots of how weathered that plane was at that time.

On a side note, my dad was a plane captain in VF-13, an F-8 Crusader squadron in the late 60s.  They did not drop a toilet, but they DID drop 13 rolls of toilet paper out of the speedbrake well onto a Russian trawler that kept shadowing their carrier in the Med....

Last week I went to a hobby shop near my sister's house to stock up on RLM colors and saw this on the shelf with a note that the conversion kit was included.  After a quick Google search I determined that the price he was asking was about $40 less than it would cost to buy it separately.  Add to that a few years ago I accidentally bought a sheet of decals for a Bf 109F instead of for the E version, I decided I should get it just so those decals wouldn't go to waste.

I just got the Dragon 1/35 SU-76i, the recaptured version of the Pz 3, neat cupola added. And the Trumpeter Grille 30-30.5cm Morser Bear. Very unlikely, but I have EVERY thing else. (Almost). So what the hey.  It's only money.

Been a while since I've dropped in to check out what folks have been accumulating lately. I must say that you folks have picked up some rather impressive stuff.

Bish: I'm rather intrigued by the Fine Mold kits. Have you built one before? I'm interested in how the Me 410 is.

In the past while I've picked up a couple of additions. One in particular excited the daylights out of me. I acquired a 1/72 Hasegawa A-1H Skyraider with the toilet bomb! Heck, I didn't even know this kit existed until I saw it on a FB sell & trade group. Snagged it up immediately for $20.00.

Also picked this up:

By the way, this my test post for using Postimage.org for a photo hosting site. Tried it at Stik's recommendation.

Thank You very much F-8 for the link to the pics. You are correct in that they will help out with the weathering. Very cool story about your father and his F-8 squadron. And, yes, I am a huge fan of the F-8. I have 3 1/72 kits in the stash ( 2 Academy & 1 Hasegawa) that I'm looking forward to building.

Well, I usually wait to buy my kits on sale. But, this time I didn't wait for any sale, I pulled the trigger because I didn't want tp pay the OOP price later on. Anyway, here are my latest:

For those of you who follow MotoGP motorcycle racing, this is Valentino Rossi's '05 Championship bike in the color's he ran at Leguna Seca that year.

And this is the 06 Honda RC211V that I will build as Nicky Haydens Championship bike.

Toshi recently completed the same scheme on a current  Revell 1/48 Eagle release. It's a rebox of the old C Eagle but with new decals.  Looks very cool.

I suggest checking the ATF regs before adding a stock which could make it into an NFA item and if so file the proper paperwork for the stamp.

I have shot my buddy's MP40 that he bought many years ago and is worth a fortune now. It is a very pleasent weapon to shoot even in full auto, very accurate with little recoil unlike the Thompson that has muzzle climb. These NFA weapons are better than gold cause they keep climbing up in value.

Mossberg just came out with a pistol grip 12 Ga. with a 14 inch barrel which believe it or not is not an SBR per NFA regs because the entire weapon is over 26 inches long.

The stock will require the ATF stamp, just waiting on word from the U.S. distributor as to when they expect to receive the stock kits then I will start the paperwork.

Cool. Just making sure you knew LOL. A while back I read something about someone coming out with semi Fg42 and STG44. Funny how the STG's are still being found now and then in places like Iraq and even Africa being used by terrorists.

And here's 2 more. I saw the Bar on the AM website and just could resist. This thing looks a real beast.

And i first saw the Sd.Kfz 254 years ago in the Bruce Quarrie book 'Panzers in the desert'', which i stil have. Ever since i have wanted a kit of one. Hobby Boss released this a few years ago but i seem to have missed it. Found it a few months back, so this was a must buy.

I'll deffinetly be doing this in DAK colours.

Hey, Bish,

I've been eyeing that Morser Bar too, and the Jagdpather II.

Hey Bruce, I did check out your newly acquired Moto GP bikes, cool for sure! I still have a Bimota Tesi 1/12 scale in the stash. A 1/1 Hodaka vintage road racer is the project now and it's eating up time reserved for modeling. All fun of course! What a project.

Their nice looking kits. I got the Lowe and Neubaufahrzeug a couple of years back. I had read reviews on the latter and this came out as the best kit of the 3 companies that make it, and that got me on to their other stuff. All their kits look very well done and IMHO you don't need any AM for them, though i will add generic tool clamps and replace the older style exhaust on the Lowe. I can highly recomend them from how they loo in the box. I'll be doing the Lowe next year, so i am keen to see how they build.

I think I read the same article about the three manufacturers of the Neubaufahrzeug. That the Amusing Hobby was the best of the three. I have the Lowe and would not mind adding a couple more. I look forward to seeing your Lowe build next year.
