Modelcrazy and I saw this on the shelf at the same time so we arm-wrestled for it. He won, took pity on me and let me take it home!

Looks fun! I've got the 1/32 Hasegawa/Minicraft version, it's certainly a different project.

LOL, with the caveat that you bring it to the meeting when you’re done with it. I hope you have loads of fun with it my friend.

Nice! Gotta love those 40 and 50% off coupons Rob.

I bought an AFV Club 1/35 251/9 Ausf D halftrack from a model show yesterday. And picked up Monogram's 1/48 HE-111 and Tamiyas 1/48 F2A2 Brewster Buffalo too afterwards.

This weekend was fun...IPMS Northern Virginia's Model Classic, AND the gun show...I'm exhausted

Realized I had no Allied plane in my build list to counter my axis planes, so I picked this one up at 40% off at HL.   apparently I'll have to look for some AM decals as the ones that come with it everyone says are crap.

On the Bench: 1/72 Ki-67, 1/48 T-38

Built that last year for the Midway GB. I needed AM decals anyway, but the kit ones don't look to good, and they are Acdemy. Nice kit, though cockpit detail is a little sparse.

Having picked up the 1/32 B-17F, I been searching around for figures to add to the kit. Master Details have a only a few to offer right now and they're displayed sitting in the plane, and the Verinden waist gunner's set is out of production.

But then I came across this set by A.C. Models out of New Zealand and carried in the U.S. by Red Lancers which the photo I enclosed here is theirs. The set is pricey but it certainly solves having all the crew members, and the details on them is outstanding! For those who have the B-25 kits, there's a crew set for that too. The figures are the same as in the B-17 set but of course have fewer crew members. I think they will make a great addition to a B-17 dio.

Archangel,

I hope you plan to do a WIP on that monster, I'm sure most of us would love to see it come together .

Ye, what Steve said. I have seen the 17G built up, but to see one with the crew would be awsome.

I need to first wrap on a couple of other builds but when I do start, I'll will post pics of the kit. Tell you the truth,  I'm itching to start on the figures now, they look that good. And the crew can be displayed as either walking towards the B-17 or having just returned from a mission.

Won these on eBay: three Tamiya bikes + riders for $23.50 + a hefty $22.55 shipping.  Still puts each bike at $15 or so plus the riders.  Granted these are early, early Tamiya bikes but still nice kits.

Thanks,

John

Dropped in at HL Tuesday when I was over giving the county money for a permit renewal.  Picked up Tamiya's Gama Goat, and since my new lady is in Europe for the next two weeks, a Metal Earth windmill, to remind her of the trip that started off in Amsterdam last week.

Wow, again some awesome stuff guys!

Archangel: Love those figures! Would love to see more details on your build of her.

Steve: Very cool! Finally broke down and bought a ship model, Hasegawa's 1/350th IJN Shimakze (still in HobbyLink Japan's private warehouse waiting for the rest of my order of come in). I would love to see how you do the heavy seas.

John,

Are going to wait to build one of those for the Motorcycle GB in September, or can you not resist and have to start one sooner? Lol! They look like really nice kits.

I've been on a buying spree.  I have a the new 1/12 tamiya Ducati on order as well so I'have something for the group build for sure.

These showed up today for my aggressor collection.  The Kfir decals double for the shelf of doom group build as well.

Thanks,

John

Well look what showed up on the doorstep today out of the blue. I bet I know who sent it.

Some builds are going to have to drop down in priority.
