PFJN Hi, Here's my 3 latest acquisitions.

Heres what I picked up fo $90 at the local IPMS meeting. The Hornet has three kits inside. Most of the ships have PE

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Nice haul MC!
Well yesterday was our annual AMPS Chapter fundraising auction. I came home with far more than I intended to... but that’s a good thing...
Tamiya early M1 Abrams, Heller AMX-30, Tamiya Panther A (with a metal barrel), two Zvezda Sdkfz 251 B, Airfix Sdkfz 250 (1/32), and a Dragon figure set. Total damage $36...
and then a side deal made with one of the guys beforehand for this M48A2GA2 that was sent to him by accident instead of what he had ordered....
the 1/72 Chally 2 is a giveaway from him for a GB he wants to run on our chapters website to generate more activity there. He brought a box of 1/72 vehicle kits free to any member on the condition that they will build them as part of that GB. Now why say no to that?
F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!
U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!
N is for NO SURVIVORS...

Thanks MC! You lucky dog getting that Burke! I’m keeping my eye open for a good deal on one.
roony What ship is the Airfix?
What ship is the Airfix?
She's HMS Hotspur, but I may try to build her as HMS Glowworm, since other than the torpedo tubes I think that they were fairly similar.

Bish Nice find with the Little nellie.
Thanks.
It's kind of funny that the figure they include in the model is fairly close to how James Bond looked while flying Little Nellie in the movie (with a hard hat & collared white shirt). But for the box cover it looks like they just super imposed a stock image of James Bond in a Tux holding his gun with his arms crossed (and not on the controls) as the enemy helos fly about
Blimey Stik, thats some haul there. And 2 251's to boot. Looking forward to seeing that Chally.

Ye, i had noticed that. I am guessing thats off the posters they put out to promote the movie and just stuck him in the cockpit.

Thanks... I was only intending to pick up two or three items at most... but I got some real bargains. I only wanted one 251, but they made it a pair for dirt cheap...

Can never have enough 251's . Plenty of scope for conversions. I have not built my Zvezda one yet but it looks nice. Though there is a major issue with the interiour as the layout is completly wrong.
When bargains like that come along, can't let them pass.
Yes I was reading up on the 251 kit in a few reviews and saw about the interior gaffes. I think that I can handle that without too much difficulty. And most likely I’ll make one of them into a /10 variant. I always like how they looked with the PAK up top.
Another for my aggressor collection
Thanks,
John
Great stuff there guys!
Love Little Nellie too PFJN.

Cool scooter John.
Thanks MC. Fantastic decal set from Fights On decals, if they lay down well I will for sure be using them again. Wish I would have bought the A-4M, more options.

Fortunatly i got the original Eduard PEset that corrects the errors. Unfortunatly they stopped it and brought out a new one which enhances them. I need to sit down and compare the Zvezda kit with the ICM one and decide which is the better option, correct the Zvezda or convert the ICM to an Ausf B, but no, it should not be that difficult.
I’m kind of excited about these two! The Ta 183 is the new 1/48 Academy offering of the earlier AMtech molding. The Special Hobby He 115 looks like it’s going to build into a pretty impressive machine. The 183 is in the mail, should arrive in a couple weeks.

God, Family, Models...
At the plate: 1/48 Airfix Bf109 & 1/35 Tamiya Famo
On deck: Who knows!
That He-115 on floats looks awsome!
This one took about a month to get here from Japan, but it was free shipping. I think I saw someone else on this thread got one and started me hunting. Very Tamiya-like quality, scale and boxing. Are Tamiya and EBBRO some how related?
Cool stuff guys!!!
I needed more stuff for the stash like a hole in the head.....
So hooray for trepanning!!!!!
Two Jaegers. I'm still waiting for Obsidian Fury to come in.
I thought I'd try a 1/350th ship and figured a destroyer would be smaller and simpler:
And a Nakajima G10 Fuguka (Mt. Fuji) America bomber designed to cross the Pacific, cross the US/Canada bombing targets at will, continue across the Atlantic, and then land in the Third Reich to refuel and rearm and then repeat in reverse. It's a BIG honkin' plane even in this 1/144th version.
Lots of goodies! In all sorts of subject areas!
Gamera, are those Jaegers for the Pacific Rim movies?
Cool jaegers!
I finally got my Ducati!
stikpusher Lots of goodies! In all sorts of subject areas! Gamera, are those Jaegers for the Pacific Rim movies?
Yes sir, the second one 'Pacific Rim II: Uprising'
There are two in the movie Bandai still haven't modeled.
I gotta tell my son... he loves those movies and he builds the Mech models. I presume that they are like their Gundam kits?

I haven't built any Gundam kits but Bandai makes LED lighting kits that fit both so I'm guessing they must be pretty close.
John: Pretty darn cool, that's something else I've never built is a bike...
Those are pretty cool! I’ve never built a robot, but if I did I imagine it would be something like that. Are they static kits or do they articulate at the joints?

Oh yeah, they have poly caps in the joints so they'd completly posable as well as the chain sword, plasma cannon, etc from the movie.
And on Gipsy Avenger the turbine engine thingee in the chest has an LED so it lights up.

The poly cap joints is exactly like the Gundams
