Joe, I'm intrested in knowing how the Seiran and Shinden are. Those are 2 kits I've had on my wishlist for a while. I just love the modern Jets. I am currently building the Hase A7, same mold, different boxing.

John, cool sprint.

Nino, smart idea from your wife. She sounds like mine. She forbids me from touching anything deliverd from China until she's has had a chance to sterilize it. New lungs you know.

John I couldn't pass up the deal. If I had more money I probably would have bought a few more

I can't seem to find my thread on the Moebius 2001 pod to tack this on, so here is my latest acquisition, fresh from the mailman this morning!

It's designed to be used with Moebius' (nominally) 1/144 scale Discovery kit.  I'm not going to fit the Discovery with a pod bay; I just wanted a pod to lend a sense of scale.  And nope, not gonna light it!  The arms are flat PE, but maybe a thick coat of paint will make it right.

Hi,

I hadn't realized that its been several months since I posted anything here.  Over that time I kind of went on an early WWII Light/Medium Allied Tank binge.

Here's a Techmod T-70 Soviet Light Tank and a bagged Zvezda(?) T-60 Light Tank that I bought off eBay as a batch (along with a partially built/partially damage Leaphard Mk I kit).

T70T60

Here also is a Somua S35, a British Cruiser Mk II, a Valentine Mk IV, a Matilda II, an M3 Grant, an M3 Stuart, a Polish 7TP, and an Italian M13/40(which I guess is really not an allied tank, but I think some captured ones were used by Commonwealth forces)

S35MkIIV4Matilda IIGrantStuart7TPM13

In addition to those I also bought an old wooden Comet Destroyer kit, a Vacuform O-52 Owl Recon Plane, a Lexus Sedan and a Bolton Paul Defiant fighter plane.

Those are some nice armor pickups. The M13 comes with decals for one captured by Australians I believe. Built one last year there’s some fit issues on the hull that take some work with putty but it’s an enjoyable little kit.

Got a pretty good deal on this one on ebay.  She will be a fire bomber.  I ordered the bellytank from LoneStar models and the decals from Draw

Thanks,

John

John, that will be a nice looking build.

It's been a couple of months for me but picked this up today.

Pat,

Nice haul! The Comet Destroyer looks like fun, a couple years ago I downloaded plans for it (and a few of their other vessels), even picked up a block of basswood for the hull. Looking forward to your build!

Thanks UP & MC.

The hard part is going to be buiilding them all. I'm hoping to try and build all the armor mostly straight out of the box, since some of my more recent builds have been heavy on kit bashing, and have dragged on a bit.

I'm excited to try the Vacuform and Balsa kits too though, to see how tings were in the olden days Stick out tongue

I don't even have an F-16 in my stash yet,but I saw these decals and had to have them.Being a big football fan,I thought these were pretty cool commemorating the Colts Super Bowl win.I will probably pick up a Tamiya F-16 at some point.

Never seen that one before Philo!

I realized I didn't have one of these after watching the new Midway - mission accomplished

Thanks,

John

Found a few things between eBay, hobby shop and a used bookstore.

The Tamiya Tiger I doesn’t build an accurate Africa Corp one so it will take a little work. The price sure beat what the Dragon one goes for. The PLA APC was on clearance at my hobby shop and looks like a fun build. The Horch was a nostalgia purchase the last one I built was when I was nine. I was happy to find the two books especially Tigers in the Mud I remember enjoying reading it some years back.

I also got interested in the Midway time-frame USN and IJN aircraft too.  My conclusion is Hasegawa has the best Vals and Kates in 1/48.

Many others must know this too as the Nakajima B5N2 models seem impossible to find in the Japan online stores.

John,  That looks like an excellent Dauntless kit per my review at the 1999.co.jp site.    (I did not see any markings for a new Zealand version though.)

Thanks for reminding me that the old Monogram kit I built in my youth is dated and needs to be replaced.

This is a great thread. There are more Happy Modelers here than any other Forum.

Keep up the good work boys and girls. Where else can we help the worlds economy and feel great about it at the same time.

Nice pickups stickdude. I’ve been meaning to get a Vampire one day along with some Rhodesian air force decals; always liked how the aircraft looked.

After finishing off the Northern Ireland version of the Snatch Land Rover last week, i couldn't wait to grab another Accurate Armour kit from Op Baner. This time the Humber Pig Mk 2. This one is a complete kit rather than a conversion, and looks like it will be a nice build.

Cool Pat - does it come with the wrinkled sidewalls?

Bish - nice - is that old Accurate Armor boxing?

I had Mail Call!

Dauntless decals - lots of options

Tank conversion for my F-7F Tigercat firebomber

I jumped on the Hamerhead shark train - 1/20 Hamerhead shark - some of the best resin I've ever seen!

Thanks,

John

Its pretty standard for their boxers, this kit was only released in 2016. I got a Challenger 2 turret at the same time and that came in the same type of box.

Those sharks are becoming popular, i might have to get some of that action soon.
