Thanks guys!

John: Nice looking pair of trainers there!

William: That's some nice looking resin there. Great detail! Pity about those landing gear door though. Sad

Found these Meng WWI Germans last week at my hobby shop. Unfortunately my trips over to there are going to few and far between. Was going to get the Tamiya 1/35 AMX and found out the store had upped the prices on almost everything by ten to twenty dollars! Before they were more or less priced the same as SprueBrothers so if I had business to do near them I’d stop by and save on shipping. They hadn’t marked up the figures  yet so at least I got one thing.

To support the local HS to help through the hard times, I felt it was my duty to transform another kit from my wishlist and make it materialize in the stash.

Just doing my patriotic duty.

Nice pickup on the Skyraider. That’s one airplane I’ve been meaning to pickup eventually.

Well, in order to follow the directives of the powers that be, I had to go on a supply run. My glues were getting low, and a few other items like putty might be needed as well during these strange days... I ended up at my “new” local hobby shop, 25 or so miles away, Andy’s Hobby Headquarters. I did pick up some Squadron Weld there, but then I found this little beauty for a good price...

That should help with both the local economy and social distancing... I’m being a responsible citizen.

Better hurry kids.  Now the retail stores are closing.  I wonder if I can get to my LHS this weekend for some paint?

Placed a small order from SprueBrothers Sunday and got it today. I’ve been waiting for this version of the T-55 to come out from Miniart. Been wanting to do a T-55 as used by the Rhodesian military and this one is perfect. Picked up the tank crew to operate the Red Army equipment I seem to be building up.

Wasn’t planning to but made a trip near the nearest hobby shop yesterday and ended up picking up a couple things. Figured they could use the help right now since they aren’t sure if they’ll be ordered to close.

Almost forgot picked up this Gundam kit for my spouse at the hobby shop was well. She’s a big fan of Gundam and likes to build a kit every so often. Since we are more or less stuck now is a good time for building.

I forgot to add this the other day. I had bought this old 1/48  Teknics Ordnance  set off EBay last month. It comes with six Rockeye CBUs, two Fuel Air Explosive bombs, two Napalm cans, and two Zuni pods. The seller also added a pair of AS.34 Kormoran Anti Ship Missiles. Well, it finally arrived in the mail at the beginning of this week... woohoo!

I've been on a bit of a buying binge... adding to my trainer collection.  Man the wolfpack kit looks fantastic.  Comes with resin wheels, canopy masks, PE seatbelts, color glossy instruction booklet with pictures and a great looking decal sheet by cartograf.

And this guy just showed up :)

Pardon the delay, but where in the world did you find that Accurate Miniatures Avenger, John?

PS, I wish I'd stop forgetting about this thread. Great fun watching what everyone is buying.

I was at Hobby Lobby to return an item yesterday (taking my life in my hands).  Except for the employees cleaning furiously, it was nearly deserted.  I was looking for an airbrush, but everything they had was way too expensive, so I settled on this.

It was $34.99, but I had a 40% off coupon so it was roughly $24 bucks.  Not bad.  I'll add it to the stash for a future build.  Big Smile

Gary: Woooooooo, love the Saturn V! That's a lot of model for twenty-four bucks!

Pat: Cool, love that S-35 toon tank too!

Gamera>  Thanks! I had one of these 50 years ago (I still have some parts), but I never thought I would find one at such a great price!  It was $23.09 actually (I checked the ticket).

Thanks Greysnake. Maybe if all goes well I'll get to one or the other by the end of the year.
