The postman brought these yesterday. And they are sized for my Monogram kit.

The blue on the markings is the lighter shade worn during Vietnam by VA-93 and not the darker blue like on the Eagle Strike sheet for the A-7E.

Nice set of decals Stik

This also just arrived in the mail today. I always loved this car when I was young and dreamed of owning one.. My sisiter-in-law owned one and I just loved it.

Now, we do own a "Scirocco" of sorts. That's the name of our tortoise. Being as she is an African Socata Tortoise native to the fringes of the Sahara it seemed only appropriate that we name her after the winds that blow from the Meditteranian across the Sahara. And yes, she does move faster than you think. You don't take your eyes off of her when she's outside for a walk.

Nice find Joe! I agree about the Scirocco, those are very sharp looking cars. They handle pretty nice too. I got to drive one a bit, once upon a time.

Cool tortoise too!

Some stuff from SprueBrothers and eBay.

Picked up some aftermarket parts for my Tamiya T-55 I’m about to start on. Got a aluminum barrel, photo etch grills and some better tow cables.  Added more figures to my ever growing Red Army think I have enough figures for every Cold War era tank in the stash now.

Great mail day today!

1/144 757 and Hooters decals (hard to find).  Restock on primer.  Finally 303 squadron decals and canopy masks for my Hasegawa Hurricane Mk 1

So much neat stuff coming in so fast it's hard to keep up!. Good stuff!

I don't remember the Scirroco, Joe. That was my ex-wife's Mom's maiden name.

That trailer is pretty slick, John.

I'd like to hear how those MRP paints work out, Johnny.

John: Oh, you'll be putting the fear in your competitors when you hit the track with that. Beauty!

Tempest: I've acquired my share of MRP paints but, have only done some testing with them thus far. I'm really impressed with what I've done so far. Spray beautifully and create a very nice finish. Good score on your part.

Thanks Joe. I really wanted the Orange Solo F-16 colors. They have a metallic sheen. Didn't want to pay postage for just 2 bottles, so the Russians came along for the ride

Hot red Porsche!!!

Very nice I didn't see one of those when I was searching for a Ferguson TE-20. Got mine from Heller, my uncle finished restoring a 1:1 and was able to take part in the local tractor run. Thought one of those would look good on the shelf.

Received these items last week for a work in progress.

Geez, that arrived quickly. Didn't you order it just days ago?

Where'd it come from, John?

Scored this on Evilbay the other day. No other bidders, just me. A 1/48 B-29 in a sealed box for 75 bones, cheap for sure. I'm totaly stoked to finally add this to the stash.

Very nice; wouldn't mind seeing a Lancaster WIP. Finished it would shrink a 1/96 Cutty Sark, not random was just measuring space in my room for one.

Brandon - where are you going to put that monster when it's done?

snap - nice shopping!

Picked this up off of Mercari relatively cheap considering what these go for.  I'm going to convert it to an S-64 fire tanker once Lone Star Models conversion is available.  Pretty nostalgic being a young modelers club kit.  Didn't know Aurora had a club.  I was in the Monogram club as a kid.

Going to be this:

Thanks,

John

I plan to put it on a display case once done. That won't happen until we get a new place, and that won't happen until we see where all this virus stuff is going. Till then, it's in the stash.

Some good goin's on a happenin' here.

Brandon: Bravo on the B-29 score. I'm glad you have room and a plan for it.

Snap: Boy Howdy! You sure like to go big. Wonderous collection you've accumulated. I'm liking that ZM Hs-129. I've given that one some consideration myself.

keavdog: I am absolutely loving that Skycrane. I am doubly loving your plans for it. When I worked as a wildland firefighter I had several opportunities to work with these. It was awesome. I can tell you that when one of these came in with a drop you wanted to be well clear of it as the impact would topple dead trees, snap tree limbs and throw all sorts of debris all over.

Love the skycrane.  They are based about 125 miles from me.  They had one at the airshow a couple of years ago.

There is another Hs 129 on the way too. It is a fabulous kit.

I suggest you have a go at it.

Now that is one subject that has been sorely neglected.  A new tooled, highly detailed kit would be most welcome.  And reboxes with parts and markings for civil operators would be icing on the cake.

I have not built an F-16 in a very long time, and I have wanted to do one of the Tamiya versions.I was also able to stock up on some Modelmaster paints before they were gone from Scalehobbyist.
