PJ, that is a great score for you. If they were no longer of any use to your friend, those paints deserve a fate better than a landfill.

Yesterday was our local AMPS Chapter meeting, which traditionally has a pot luck and holidays gift exchange. This year I lucked out and went home with another super kit, which I suspect came from a local Hobby shop that is a big supporter of our AMPS Chapter...

Gerhard

That is a kick in the culo kit! I have it in my stash and the details are fantastic.

Well I visited my buddy  the other day and he decided to get rid of all his Alclad paints because of the strong odor they have while spraying. He handed them to mee for free!

There's about 25 bottles of all sorts of metallic colors, clears, and primers including 2 Talon bottles and a new unopened jar of aluminum polishing powder from Hawkeye's Hobbies.

RX, you’ve got enough stuff there to open your own hobby shop...

I picked up this decal set before the holiday to go with my recent F7U find. Since I do not care for the kit marking options....

I am thinking one of the VF-124 birds, as they had the crossed cutlass insignia on the tail tops

littletimmy,

LoL thanks,

I have a bad habbit of reaching for my wallet if the price is right.

Bish and roony,

Caesar Miniatures is partnered with another company called Mininight Miniatures , both I believe are asian in origin. They primarily make figures but also produce a small allotment of vehicles and artillary pieces. Quality is comprable to the other well known manufactures in 1/72.

Some links if your interested.

Bish,

Too bad about Esci being difficult to come by. It's somewhat abundent on this side of the pond.. And your right I probably doBig Smile

Nice haul of Matchbox there as well RX, and good to see some Esci kits still floating about. I used to like there stuff but hardly ever see it any more. But that probably because you have most of them Big Smile

Are those Caeser kits any good.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

A model show, online deals and and the hobby shop in my area  had a 20% off sale. I did what any normal guy in my shoes would do. Wink. Bought a bunch of Caesar kits. I'm starting to like their quality.

Great looking kits TJ.

Im building up my kitty litter so got me the Rye Field Mid Production Tiger I with full interior on sale at Freetime Hobbies:

http://www.missing-lynx.com/reviews/german/ryefieldrm5010reviewaj_1.html

Also was forced into getting this M4 Sherman also on sale:

http://modelkitsreview.com/1-35-academy-m4a3-sherman-tank-with-newly-tooled-parts/

Rye Field was reported according to reviews as the best Tiger I model out there.

Cool thread!  I love to see what everyone is buying.

I just stumbled accross the 1/200 Hasegawa Navy 737 C-40A Clipper - never new it existed and I had just finished a 737 not to long ago and loved the build and scale.

The Roden T-28 is something I've wanted to do for a while.  Dissappointed that promenant exhaust black paint on the fuselage is not a decal... otherwise nice looking kit.

Thanks,

John

From memory, 1/48 snow speeder and AT-ST, 1/72 scale Y-Wing, TIE Striker, TIE Interceptor, Boosted X-Wing, double kit 1/72 & 1/144 scale original X-Wing. I've heard there is also an A-Wing, but haven't seen it or the First Order TIEs in 1/72.

Awesome way to get high quality kits to youngsters.

It's part of that 1/72 scale range at HL, the Force Awakens X-Wing with a new booster add on. Looks to be a pretty nice kit.

Rob Gronovius

How much was that M3A1 Stik? Been looking for one better than the old Monogram one.

I picked up the Bandai 1/72 scale Boosted X-Wing from the Last Jedi. It was going to be for my 13 year old, but not sure if he's up to it.

Rob, I paid about $15 with shipping from China... and I was in the same boat looking for a better one than the old Monogram gun.

Is the Bandai Boosted X-Wing an advanced kit?

I do love IPMS chapter meetings. Why? Because someone is always thinning their stash getting rid of something that I want for the gaps in mine. This Friday it was this oldie. Another forgotten fighter from the 50’s. And pretty much the only game in town in 1/48...

Now I just need a Cougar... F9F type that is for my USN Fifties Fighters.

snapdragonxxx,

That's an awesome purchase. Wish I had the courage to take on such a kit.

Well during a stop on Gran Canary while on my vacation, I came across this Spanish Hornets nest... look close and you can see them in front of their shelters

and having several F-18 kits in my stash, I knew what I wanted to do with one... so I found this decal set on eBay, which I bought on payday Wednesday, and it came in the mail today....

so one project to do now has all I need....

Had to go to Salem yesterday to visit the VA vampire and a mining club meeting later.  Stopped by the LHS there and grabbed the Academy 1/72 B-17E, pacific theatre.

Will put up pics when the Squadron order arrives of the three of those and this one.

I'll be watching that DO-235 build as well.

EDIT- just got an email from Squadron that it looks like the two ships will ship in about 2 weeks.

That Indy builds into a nice kit. You may want to look into the Eduard PE set for it.

Absolutely amazing job Steve...you have killed the water dio process! It looks so flippin real. Bow Down I wish I had a third of your modeling talent.
