Thanks. I was just looking for a bright 'kick winter in the tail' scheme suggestive of rum and tropical breezes.

The real lucky stroke was finding a little cheapo set of 6 Testors acrylics in fluorescent colors, in those little hinged-cap dispensers. The colors were a perfect match for the color photo on the airline's website!

Thanks also to John and MC for your comments!

Thanks Steve, my could be better, especially the figures. But as 90% of my builds are dioramas, its hard to leave them out.

Nice work Bish.  Hard to do winter camo on figures and yours look great.  Dig the phantom as well.  Haven't done a sub in years.  Interesting color variations.

Thanks,

John

Thanks John. I was a bit woried about doing the winter camo as i had not done it before, but i was pleased with how the uniforms turned out. And the sub i just gloss coated it, then masked and added a clear flat coat just top break up the black finish.

Very nice builds everybody and hope you all had a Merry Christmas.

Some of you all know me to build WWII aircraft but during the last few years I've ventured off into automotive world. Maybe it's my automotive repair and hotrodding roots that resurfaced...I don't know. It took sticking with it for nearly four years till I was comfortable with my automotive finishes but it's sure been alot of fun and I've learned alot along the way.

The first two builds are tribute builds to the 1980's Revell "Street Demons" series:

1956 Ford F-100 "Demon II" built from a Revell Foose kit:

and the '41 Willys Built from the Pro Street kit released in 2001:

and the last one of the year that I built for a friend of my sons (Jonathan) who saw my builds and wanted me to build his '59 AMT El Camino that he got for his birthday this year. My son and I delivered it just in time for Christmas:

WOW Mustang your car finishes are spectacular. I am in the process of trying my first car and am struggling with the Candy Apple Red finish, not even close to yours,

Thanks Jay Jay – Alclad 119 is amazing
Ogrejohn – really nice armor!  Really like the Stryker
Gregbale – Sub looks great, cool base.  The Trimotor is beautiful and the SPAD… wow.
GM – nice looking builds of interesting subjects.
Mustang1989 – wow – I think you figured out the whole auto thing.
Crown – glad to see you back online.  I got the buffalo as part of the Secret Santa build – hoping mine turns out ½ as good as your build (though I’m doing a British bird).  Meteor looks great and the easy eight looks really good.
Great builds here!

Thanks,

John
