58.  All aircraft.  I think it's a few too many as they don't fit in the corner I have them stacked up in anymore.  Now mind you that's because I live in a cape cod style house, and the wall angles in about halfway up.  I'm sure I can finish them all, but it might take a few years.

^^^^ Whoa!   I have 63 unbuilt, 2 on the shelf of doom and 3 in progress.  I'm okay with the numbers.  Birthdays and holidays rachet it up (love my wife).  I have a personal policy of build 2, buy 1 but I struggle...

Thanks,

John

Total of 2 in my stash.  The hobby shop (and internet) is my stash!

I'm with you. I think that I have three in my stash.

Your comments and questions are always welcome.

I dare not count!  If I do, I’m likely to get discouraged and stop buying more. Big Smile

After a buying spree this past summer, my stash is at an all time high of 14.

I build 1/48 scale WW2 fighters.

Have fun.

I have more than I’m wlling to admit - and count!

But I have been trying to thin the stash ever since I helped get rid of a deceased buddy’s enormous stash.  It wasn’t fun, and some of it stayed at my place when we cleared out his storage locker.  When the last box left the house, my sister told me that if I did this to her, she would find a way to kill me even though I would be dead!

Well, it’s Friday night.  Might as well do a load of laundry, then crank up the A/C and try to reduce my stash!

Currently I have 1. Never had more then 4. I build as I buy and while I wait for a new shipment to arrive I read. Don't see much point in stockpiling.

Given your great skills I find that amazing.  You are a unicorn!

Thanks,

John

I went over to a guys apartment one time as he advertised some kits for sale. He had picked up a lot at an estate sale. There were easily 5000 kits. Stacked in the hallway, stacked on the dining table, stacked everywhere.

Guys wife was sitting in the kitchen, wouldn't even look up and say anything until I walked out with about ten.

I'm up for giving away, selling whatever stuff I don't want, like old Italieri aircraft. Occasionally I'll sell some stuff, or give it to people I know want it.

Yeah, I have some great nephews who love planes and are very happy for me to build ceiling hangars for them... I can go quick old school on those builds... especially using older kits...

185.

Pared it down from about 210.

Thinking I could cut down more by getting rid of some duplicates.

According to my Scalemates inventory, over 700. How do I feel about that total? Well, I am retiring in six months, and will not yet be quite 55, so I am set for both kits and free time.

My last full count several years ago was 140+, since then I've been slugging away at it and estimate I've finished about 60, adding less than that as new kits came out. Still have upwards of 100, but at age 78 I'm looking to give several away, that I know I won't be able to complete.

I probably have about 60. Mix of everything, but mostly aircraft. That's too many for me, I need to sell a few. But I like them all!

I have 30-40 kits on hand.I feel okay with that amount,it's right on the edge of what I feel like I could complete. Why would I stockpile hundreds, even thousands of kits ? To look at them ? To stack them them up and say I have this many ? Nah,I pretty much buy what I  know I can build.I know I will buy the Tamiya P-38 but once I am back in my shop,I will just be building down my modest stash.

The number of kits in my stash got up to about 80 over the last couple of years. Every day, when I looked at them, I wondered how I would ever build them all. So I've decided to let others enjoy those kits. I'm sharing a table with another modeler at Modelpalooza next month to sell some 60 1/48 scale kits.

OK. In the stash: Way too much to build in one lifetime...

Less than 100. I have pretty much stopped buying them because I really do want to build what I have.

Here we go again.  I lost count.  I have about 2,000, mainly tanks, but about every 1/48 prop fighter and prop bomberr made.  A few navy ships also, and a few starships as well.  I several plastic crates of many Dragon figues.  Have a few 1/32 planes, doing a 1/32 Revell/Germany Me-109 G6.  In context, ive been collecting since 1973.   I've built several hundred as well. I've really been slamming plastic since 1960.  It's very well organized as well.  All in shelving in the well ventilated basement.  I love it!  No cars or bikes though.  Unless it's a German BMW, or Zundap 1/9 scale.

I have a bit over 300 kits. I feel great about it, but don't ask my wife how she feels about it.
