lol no, no- you guys misunderstood. I meant to say that with everything in the way of the molded belts, even if someone did see a part of them like a clip or a strap, there's no way they'd think they were seat belts under seat belts. Just meant that from my point of view they look like just another vest/webbing etc.

I think you did a good job of matching up the belts to the "vest belts" as far as the way you laid them down. Sorry for the misunderstanding Blush [:I] I don't know if it was sarcasm or too little sleep, I'll work on it haha

Wink [;)]

chris, stop bagging on scott's build man!!! Laugh [(-D]

Those seat belts look great MC- and hey- even if they can see the molded belts through the "glass" and around the dash and behind the masking tape- just tell them the vests were a little loose fitting and the pilot/co-pilot just really cinched their vest straps down.

Ol' hair-lip looks like he has a grimace in one of those pictures, either he's got a tight landing coming up or he's been listening to Tom making fun of him

Shock [:O] OR the next step will be to put the center consol back in place!! I was looking at it like... hmm this is great, what's missing- then it hit me. What happened to that?! Get in the way of the belt addition? Maybe now you can fill it for Avus haha

i think with the seat belts ya dont have to worry about the molded ones...that said, unless you take it to a show where people are going to thoroughly give it a good viewing! even then it might not matter...but i know those sticklers for accuracy might have a fit that im even telling you this!!! i like the belts none the less! Thumbs Up [tup]

Dammit!!!! (HAHAHAHA!!!)

That's not too bad I guess. I'll just chalk this up for a learning curve. This is my first helo build ... well in a long time at least. I think that the gap on the console will be mostly covered by the wind screen and the holes in the floor ... well, I'll just argue those as seat attachment points. (hehe)

Thanks for pointing those out ... and you're right ... it would have bugged the crap out of me! HAHA!!!

I knew this would happen; I shouldn't have said anything!

BUT Since I know that if I don't tell you you'll be eaten by curiosity heres the pic:

As I said it's just nit-picking; should you decide to leave it as it is, it'll still be a great model.

Oh and there's that pilot with a weird lip ... Laugh [(-D]

Legends has some crazy HMMWV update and detail kits out there- my brother ordered a pretty full package for a 1151 from luckymodel.com (I think,) somewhere out in the China/Japan area of online stores, got it in the mail after almost a month (probably not that long but I know it felt like it for him). Hey- have you seen our little build off in the Armor forum? I know I told you about it, just now got underway these last few days. Sorry to promote in your Mog thread- figured if you were taking a break from modeling you could at least look at models hahaha Tongue [:P]

17 - Damn! .... called out! HAHAHHA!!!! I've got more builds than I know what to do with.....

Chris - Actually, I'm taking a breather from everything tonight. I was going to work on "Calm" but then I remembered that I bought Legend's new interior set with the new radios and the BFT system. Coming from WAY overseas, so I'm having to wait for it before I can paint the interiors and close them up. Still got a little work I could do, but I decided on a break instead.

And Camo - No worries, buddy. If I can get one of the US suppliers to reorder it, I might get one. We'll see.

Oh- no that's fine, no problem. I hear you- make sure that "take a step back" actually means "work on the calm build" hahaha Tongue [:P]

I know LBs had a different support kind of mission than the Blackhawks actually did, not too sure the accuracy on either one sporting the clipboard- so it makes sense that youd wait on some history info. That being said, it would make total sense in a built up, urban maze like Mog. Maybe make some grease pencil markings on the windscreen! haha that’s more Vietnam though I guess...

Seriously though- wouldn't want you to close it all in prematurely and then have to pry it back apart again...

Hey, thanks Chris ... sorry, I didn't mean to ignore your post ... I might get that map/ note board on soon, but I'm just taking a step back for the moment to collect my thoughts.

Yeah, ya like that!?! I saw Maki's write-up on it .... seems like its a pretty nice kit from what he tells me. However, I went to Evolution's website and had to look through about 4-5 different distros IOT find it. I did find it through a company either in the UK or in Germany, I can't remember. But, I'm not going to do that. I might contact their US distros to see if they plan to reorder, but I'm not paying shipping that's either just as expensive (or more) as the figure. Thats retarded.

Besides this hobby not having much in the way of modern stuff, the prices of this crap are killing me. (Although ... Evolution has decent pricing for a foreign company...)

Looking great! I like the idea of the map/note board on the copilots leg- although I'd wait for someone to come in with the accuracy. The fire extinguisher looks great- and you're right, can't tell at all about the stick surgery.

Just b/c Camo said I wouldn't ....

*** UPDATE ***

I've gotten the pilots in. No real problems here except I had to remove the co-pilot's stick IOT put him in. Just clipped it and then reglued it. I don't think you can even tell. Will be giving things a 2nd dry-fit of sorts later today to see how much effort will have to be put into getting the fuse halves back together along w/ the wind screen. Hopefully it won't be too bad. Only thing to do before that is to get the pilots strapped in ... Anyway, w/o further delay ...

I was thinking about adding one of those mission "leg-boards" (hell, I don't know what they're called) to the co-pilot's leg ... something w/ notes and maybe a map on it. But I don't know how accurate that is. Any suggestions?

Since this one is at a going pausing point, I might switch over to my "Calm" build for a day or so. We'll see.

As always, any C&C welcome.
