Sorry I have been absent. I've been in and out of the hospital twice in the last 6 weeks. Looks under control now.

Got the final kit I need for the diorama this week so the grandson and I can get started building.

Hi, the last saturday Mr Paine has reply my question about using the cover of his book in the badge and he has said "yes", I know that there is another badge, but I wanted to let you know.

Down I paste the messages.

  • Hi, I don´t know if is much too ask, but in the forum of Fine scale model magazine there is a model group of dioramas and some of the guys are designing a badge, and one of them uses a part of the cover of the 2nd edition of your book as backgroung, but we are waiting permission from you because it's you work (I think someone of the group has contacted you already). Do you think is ok if we use the cover for the badge?

    Many thanks in advance!

    • No problem - it's OK with me. I'm flattered to be asked.

I don´t know what happened with the badge, but we have this option too.

Ok.. Let's see some designs...

GWOT; that would be the "Global War on Terrorism" as we call it here in the USA.  Although I hear we are not supposed to use the word 'war' as it may offend folks.  I think its supposed to be called a 'man made disaster' nowadays.........

War by any other name is still a war.........

D

No politics please.

Besides, feminists may be insulted by the use of "MMD". Just a little joke.

Hey Hans,

Somewhere in the posts, I missed the jump to warp speed and didn't catch the new thread.  Is it too late to declare a project?  If not, I'd like to do a GWOT project.

Let me know, thanks!

Dave

Hans, any chance I join? I was overseas (as a tourist, not military deployment  Smile ) and did not see your post. I have never built a dio and could use some motivation, knowledge etc.

    Thanks...

I've got 12 figures built, not painted. 1 StuG 90% built, not painted. No other pre-existing elements.

Can I join? I need motivation.

    Welcome to the Madhouse, Steve..

Are we posting progress pics here, or will there be a separate thread for those?

Given the number of entrants, I think I'll start a separate thread...
