Need pointers... the prelim badge is on a MSN Groups website as follows:
http://groups.msn.com/PacificNorthwestModelBuilders/sitegraphics.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=35
This one is very jumpy, but I have a smoother running one (more frames) almost done.

Anyone know how to get the link to work?

Hey guys, Hows it going? I've been working hard lately, (12 hours, every day...) I haven't had much time for building, or updates, But yeah...

Aric, have you finished working on the badge yet? If not, best of luck!

It may be a while until I get the chance to update this GB again so don't anyone hold your breath!

Oh yeah! sspanzer, the peices for the buildings are from a plastic base for a car display thing. The plastic is thick, but easy to cut through. The windows and doors all were cut from solid peices.

All I see is the dreaded little red 'X' box.

Just finished making a Squadron order for some materials to use in my Tiny Dio. My original idea has been slowly evolving, including its title. I'm going to throw another SdKfz 251 into the scene getting filled up with petrol from a drum with a hand pump and I'm going call the dio "Shadetree Garage". I'm getting some 1/72 scale road/military signs, a German fuel set and a Squadron Publishing, SdKfz 251 in Action reference book to help get the tiny details right.

Looking forward to getting started on this one!

My dio is going smoothly! I have both major buildings finished, and I am filling the factory, and all the major floors with junk and rubble and stuff. I'll try go get some progress shots soon!

Ok after a long hard think I'm going to try and do 4 dio's
1- will be of 2 Panther G's late versions getting resupplied and serviced just out side a converted garage.
2- Jagdtiger parked just inside a ruined house ready to blow up some allied tanks
3- Jagdpanther parked along the road side and the crew looking at the map for directions.
4- Is going to be a German convoy of tanks, trucks and men going along the road.
and If I get time after that I'll see what I can do.

Finally - one idea and six small dioramas!
Posted by bultenibo on Tuesday, October 11, 2005 6:33 PM
I just finished the small dioramas that I mentioned a couple of days ago. Big Smile [:D] I posted them as six new topics, so they wouldn't interfere with the discussion taking place here.

By the way, I snuck in some (subliminal) advertizing for the GB in the messages.Wink [;)]

Stukabomb88 - I just came up with an idea for the GB!

I'm going to build a diorama depicting a Operation Barbarossa traffic jam on the morning of 22th june 1941. It will be in 1/285 scale, and I'll problably go blind doing it, but what the heck...

Great concept for the badge fish-head! Looking forward to seeing it.

I'm using the 1/72 Sd.Kfz 251/1 Ausf. D I'm also building for the super detail GB. Since it'll have an Extra Tech engine compartment kit included, I'm going to set in within a dio where it's getting some engine work done in the shade of a large leafy tree while some Panzergrenadiers loaf about the scene waiting.

Maybe I should have knocked on wood... I have the badge made... its a magnifying lens passing over little words "TINY DIO" and enlarging them in the lens. The lettering is done with a combo of patterns to sort of represent space, air, water and land (diorama seneries).

Just need to upload it, hoping it works. It's animated so the lens actually passes over the letters. But I also have a still version.

Hope to have it wrapped for real and visible tonight.

Regarding the pics that I mentioned in my last message. I'm a bit delayed, but now the camera is working properly, so I'll be able to post them on sunday.

alright my turn! my dio is going to be a "what if" ambush theme imgonna have a dragon/dml Heinkel He-162a-2 volksjager (salamander) at the german airfield Marienhe. theres going to bee a small squad of briths paratroops in the hill with 1british pilot (who's objective is to safely steal the 162) i think i will have a sentry hut and a train bridge and a german stug III / elephant tank.
heres a simple design i made up on paint i kind of rushed it but it give you a basic idea and the red dots are the british paratroops

Also, will have that trial badge design whipped up in the next few days, just got slammed with a lot of issues beyond the computer over the weekend.

Great initiative Stukabomb88!

For the past month I have been working on a series of ww2 dioramas (in the 1/72 scale and with a standardized size) specificly for the purpose of posting the pictures on this community (which I joined just a couple of weeks ago).

Since four of the six dioramas are already done, I thought it would be a good idea posting them as soon as possible. Maybe they can work as a source of inspiration? And yes, I've been going nuts over the details!

I'll post the pics in two days or so, when I have gotten the camera to work properly.

Regards,

/Tony aka "bultenibo"

OK guys, I was a little late on telling you all my plans for my dio. Ashamed [*^_^*]
I am planning to do a 1/144 scale dio of a heavilly bombed out industrial section of Stalingrad. I am adding two buildings on each side of the dio with a dirt cleared street crossing a railroad track where two panzers are crossing the track. The buildings, one a three story office bilding, and the other, some sort of chemical factory, will be heavily bombed out, roofless, and surrounded by heavy rubble. I am adding some exterior containers, and some other random (innaccurate, probably) factory stuff to add to the detail.
The end result should be similar in appearance to this, maybe...

These photos are both taken from Stalingrad, so maybe that should help.Yeah!! [yeah]

The water scene involves a 1/48 scale model, and sitting in its box waiting for doing. I have two more on the way to me to accompany the boathouse diorama. I kinda figgered that one would be too big anyway. But the crashing waves idea involves 1/48 scale model as well, just the overall dio is model plus waves, and not much beyond the immediate boat size. Possibly a case of a rescue of a rowboat with a survivor or two or some such.

In any case, would be glad to whip up a badge this weekend for ya to see what you like, whether I fit the bill on this one or not.

The boat dio fits the bill! I'll count you in!! and Hemble, Good to have you aboard!
