Here is the rear fuselage with tail wheel and rudder ,also the antennawire ,I'll try this and see if it works.I carved a groove in the two fuse halves for the wire. The tail wheel is pinned.

The front of the fuse clearanced and painted.

Went to test fit today and found a few issues,a lot of thinning in the engine area around the top of the engine mounts.Exhaust proving to be the bugbear, ended up cutting them off and then things went a lot better. You can see alot in the top and through the bottom, D-9's were'nt paneled in the top of the gear bay. Wound up with all parts there and fitting well, gonna try tyo finish the wiring/plumbing today.

Wing work goin ' on , Trumpeter parts are pretty good .I see a lot of comment on the fiddly p/e parts for these kits ,no sign of trouble here yet.I am hoping to get the wings assembled today for drying. Loo roll to support and protect the gear.

Now to the Bobber wip for a minor setback..................

You drilled holes in the landing covers to match the bolts?  Oh man!  I love that attention to detail.  The CP looks like it has been lived in but, not trashed.  This is some top notch work sir.

Cheers

Dave

Jmodeler & Wnut -Thanks for the interest. I added channels to the lgear covers and lined up the mounting holes . I also added quite a number of parts to the gear bay as well. The legs were slugged with .125" welding rod ,removing the springs . You can see the re-inforcement around the gear bay as well. The Verlinden resin kit is great it adds a lot of crisp detail to the cockpit and other areas, and fits really well.

Nice work there.  Did you redo the LG door interiors? Or did Trumpeter fix them?  That looks like the Verlinden resin cockpit.  The landing gear really needs to be beefed up.  That cockpit is like a brick.  i think if a fly landed on mine the thing would collapse.
