Well it's all painted. All that's left to paint is the black areas on the leading edge of the wings and some touch up on the props. Toast

Only one problem......I bent the nozzle of my airbrush. Censored Bang Head Gotta wait till Monday to get a new one. Well here's pics of it all painted up.

Found the right color for the top. Masking it off and getting ready to paint it. The touch ups and then spraying the Future.

Ok. It's all unmasked. There's a few spots to touch up. But there's a problem. The top color doesn't look right to me. Not sure what it is as this is what the instructions call out for. I don't think it's right. Can anyone that can help with this? Here's the pics.

All masked off for the final color. It looks like a Blue Angel's X-mas present. LOL!

Glad to hear it does not get covered on the fuselage. It does suck to spend all that time preshading only to have it covered up. I have been experimenting with post shading becasue I have had that happen a time or two with my builds.

Yeah it doesn't show that well on the engines. It's better on the aircraft though.

Ok. Another update. Got the flaps glued in place and puttied. I also preshaded the engines and aircraft prior to painting. I may have overdone the preshading but it's my first time for that. I guess we'll see when I go to paint. Gonna try to get at least one of the colors down. Here's some pics. The pics of the flaps are before the putty got applied.

Thanks. The blades weren't that bad. Glad they're painted though.

Yeah I have the Squadron white that I plan on using today. Bang Head And to make matters worse. I just realized that I painted the gear and wells the wrong color. After someone told me and checking my references. The gear and wells are supposed to be Light Ghost Grey, not white. Oops And i'm out of primer and Light Ghost grey in the spray can so it's time to break out the airbrush.

Yeah thanks. That's what I figured I'd have to do. I do have some squadron putty, not sure which one though. How long do you let the putty dry? I am happy with the engines though. They came out better than I thought. And they were the worst as far as fit, filling and sanding.

Green is better but white isnt bad. I usually let it dry overnight. I like Miliput better though.

Excuse me.. Is that an Uzi?

Not much of an update really. Still working on the wing filling and sanding. Here's a few pics of the gear all ready for instillation.

Looks good ... as far as the gaps on the top of the wing, dont' be afraid to fill that sucker with putty and then sand it smooth.

From looking at past pictures it looks like you used sheet styrene with CA glue. CA glue will fill small gaps but takes a lot longer to fill larger gaps as it needs to build up .. plus it's a royal pain to try and sand down. I like to use either milliput or Squadron white putty. Both would work well for filling the gaps you have and will sand down smooth.

Hope that helps....

Here she is all primed. As you can see in the first pic, the top of the wing where I did the surgery needs more work. Bang Head Anyone that has any ideas on how to fix that better please let me know.
