Obviously you did not read my post all the way through..

The ARTWORK that ChukW has posted has NOT violated the forum rules in anyway!

The only rules it is breaking are YOUR rules.

Also seeing that YOUR first posts on this website are on the attack of other long time forum members I see your stay here to be short lived. You were told that if you have a problem to PM a moderator but instead you progress to post with being pushy and also you yourself are being quite disrespectful to the forum members and their threads with your posts, which I will add is in a TROLLING matter. Which will end up getting you suspended and or banned. Keep it up and you will see yourself be gone!

Wow, although I appreciate the artistic work in this thread, along with the model building, I must say that many of your drawings are very provocative and border on being misogynistic and sexist...I have a young daughter and really want her to be able to enjoy our hobby w/o being exposed to this kind of sexual innuendo...I am not offended by it....but since we are dumbing down the Forum to the sensibilities of middle school kids this kind of thing must go, in my opinion...

Good luck censoring all the swastika's, political texts and 'titty' Pin ups on pictures and boxes...

I have no interest in having historically accurate images banned, such as nose-art or swastikas...

John, I understand your concern but this thread does comply with the rules here at FSM. It does not contain nudity and is done in nose art style. ChukW is a very respected member of not only this forum but others as well.

I would suggest that if this particular thread offends you, that you just stay out of it. It is as easy as that and what you are doing is to TROLL this thread which the act is looked down on. We all have our beliefs and again this thread has not broken any rules other than your own. Also just so you know WWII aircraft featured Nose art that is far more exposed and "dirty" than what is seen here. I have built aircraft that have naked women nose art with pretty dirty names attached to them.

Thank you for your concern but if you dont agree with this thread that DOES comply with the forum rules, then move along to another thread.

It is offensive to my wife and daughter (and my daughter's friend)...but I will take Watchman's advice and hope the mods handle it...I don't wish my family to have to be exposed to images of scantily clad and overtly sexually provocative female images in order to see a model get built...

I thought this was a family-friendly forum...

You have choices John.

If your offended by this thread, by all means avoid it. If you chose to view the thread then you will be exposed to art work that offends you.

Make a choice.

Please take this thread derailment to PMs before this thread gets ugly or locked.  I don't think anyone wants that.

John, if you feel the need to report the images as abuse, then you are welcome to do so.  Let the moderators figure out what to do.

Its not offensive to you, its not nudity, it falls within the rules, leave it alone.

John,

I sure hope you dont own a television,if you do, your being exposed to much worse than Chucks art.

I'm sorry, but your kind of censorship is not welcome here, nor do I feel it would be welcomed any where else.

I feel compelled to add my voice to those who see nothing wrong with the art. In whatever way it can be considered "sexual innuendo" should be compared with what's on network television on the public airwaves. That would end the made up controversy immediately.

I just don't know what is sadder, you commenting on this while we (or at least I) are annoyed the c*** out of these kiddy comments or just the fact that chuck just builded an amazing model and you just get bogged over a drawing.

Thanks, guys!   Just a handful of "fiddley bits" to go and it's done.

Next on the bench?  I'm participating in a cancer benefit group build at Modelers' Alliance- still two months to build, give to a worthy cause and, if you complete a kit by the end of December, get in on a really great raffle!

I'm gonna build an Me509, maybe with an expose engine.  How 'bout you?

Id like to see him attempt a simple kit for once. How about the planet models 1:48 Bugatti 100P?

After you finish this, Chuck, you deserve to grill some steaks (make mine rareBig Smile ) and pop open a six pack.

And after that, it's time to start another one! How about a 1/72-scale B-36?

Thanks, Jim!  I've only used them more gentle surfaces, but, dang, they've got some stick!

I had a virus, and spent some sick days blearily toiling over this project.  I made a wrong turn once or twice, but this baby's nearly done.  Fritzi and Hannah show you how!

I like those vinyl masks! I wonder how they are on sharper compound curves.

Thanks, Paul! Lifecolor is much like Vallejo- similar ti vinyl-based cell- frame paints.  Great stuff- but, like most materials, not perfect in every situation.  93 photos resized to 1000 pixels wide.  How, I ask, did my automation settings get so screwed, and how did I not notice it?    Again, my apologies.

The results from the masks, especially with the swastika and the letter G are especially nice.  Have never used Lifecolor paints.  Am not familiar with them.  (Am an old enamel paints with solvent modeler here)  Have used some acrylic water based paints in the past as well, found that any stencil painting worked best with several light (almost dry) airbrush coats.  That alleviated wet paint blead under.

Anyway Chuck, it is looking quite nice and many thanks for the portrait of Haupt Hannah!

Thanks, guys!

First of all, I apologize for posting the images so large.  As a rule I post them at 1000 pixels wide or 1200 tall, according to proportion of the image.   One of my Photoshop Actions is askew- and probably my tiny brain aswell.  In the Future I will resize them.

Mikey, yes, there is a flaw.   I had to cut this post short due to time limitations and glossed over a couple of mishaps and details.  One thing I can clearly state- do NOT use Lifecolor paints with these masks!  I tried twice on the upper wings and they bled both times with the Lifecolor.  In removing that particular mask after the second try, the paint had become softened and peeled up.  Primer paint and a couple coats of Future left a bit of a step!   I can live with it- after the final coat of flat it will not matter.

That said, I highly recommend Miracle paint Masks- this is the only mishap I've had in all three times I've used them.  I can recommend that AB guide as well- I got got great results in a short time with it.   :D

And now, a bonus shot of Hauptmann Hannah.

That is cool. Using the masks and paint for the markings really looks good. Thanks for the tip about the AB guide, that's a pretty nice idea. Looking good as always Chuk.

Yeah, I noticed that too Chuck.  Am surprised it got by Pfenig.  Excellent work on the model as always.  Only suggestion I have on your post is that when I receive the e-mails, the photos are ending up larger than my 1920 x 1200 screen can show.   Could you possibly resize them prior to posting to a good screen size?

Otherwise your artwork, layouts, model work, etc are wonderful and have inspired me to doing much more and better on my own projects!

Fantastic as always Chuck. Question, did you have a wee accident with the paint on the starboard wing under the cross? I see a paint chip thats been covered up.

Time for a quick update!   I've been posting less and building more in an effort to get this beast done!   I've gotten a bit further than the pics show, but patience, Watson- all will be revealed.  ;)

It might be a good idea to revisit the tail before Pfennig hears about it and loses his cool! I don't know about you guys, but to me, the worst punishment would be for Pfennig to lock me in solitary confinement

Good point !  the fear factor is rising.
