Thanks, Yamato-Man!   I have been busy with other things- we were at a funeral last weekend for example- but don't forget that I was interspersing this build with my Kubel and Well dio for a year!   I'm picking up stem, and one the paint goes on things will move more quickly- you'll see.

Remarkable work as usual.

Looking nice as usual.  Sorry that you found the pinholes after the paint coat.  Found a new filler recently.  It is called Liquid Green Stuff by Citadel (Games Workshop)  Water based filler that is made for those pesky pin holes.  Cleans with water and in my initial experiments it wiped off after dried with a damp paper towel (or Q-tip).  Was designed for use on 28mm figure minis.  The newer resin ones from Citadel, Finecast , (NOT)  are usually just full of pin holes in all kinds of bad places.  It does seem to work.  From Scorpiomikey's sig I know he should be familiar with it.  

Very nice. But in the last couple builds ive seen you do, ive never seen you say "Good enough" i feel like that camo on the tail will be revisited at some point in the near future.

Thanks again, guys- and a big thanks to you, Herc, for fixing those pics.   On Sunday evenings I'm always sweating to get these out in time time for dinner, and forgot the new forum specs.   Do I have to code each pic again?  What a pain!  Guess I'll dope it out.

On the bright side, I've masked the frames and am ready for camo this Saturday.  Got a report on the masks- all is go!

I find it easiest to put one link in then switch to HTML and copy and paste the original link then change the numbers for the pictures. Seems to work faster than pasting each one indivdiually.  Hope that is not too confusing

Masking the canopy is probably my least-favorite part of building an aircraft; it can get really tedious at times.  Yours looks great, Chuck!

Do you ever have to take steps to address paint creep under the masking, or are your materials good enough that that's not likely to happen?  I have sometimes sprayed a clear coat first, to penetrate under the tape and seal it.

Yeah this new format is a little bit of a pain.  You pretty much "HAVE" to do the "Use rich formatting" to add photos or anything that isn't just plain text.

The 388 is looking good there Chuck! You are making feel bad about not doing much with my projects here lately.

That's a genuine zinc pfennig from 1943, Mikey- a gift from a friend.  I had to lighten that pic a fair shake- Photoshop can't add detail that was never there so it looks a bit lacking, I'm afraid.   Glad you like my doodles- cheers!

They were white, Baron- so white they will stay!   Well, there was a tiny dark dot or hole in each one, but you've got to draw the line somewhere!

Hey Scorpiomikey, I have a similar coin as chuk does, mine is from 1939 though. If his is the same unit as mine its about the size of a US Quarter.

The coin you use for size comparisons, Is that the genuine article? or a resin copy? This photo makes it look kinda like resin.
