my 1/32 scale MiG-29 M Fulcrum
Posted by MiG-29 on Sunday, January 9, 2011 2:11 AM

hey guys!

i finally finished my MiG-29 M the other day. im very happy with the results though n hopefully you think the same! this is how it looks after the many many hours spent on it! i went with this color scheme after i saw a photo of an SU-27 with it which i thought was AMAZING. i made a diorama to take some photos. note these photos are just quick rushed snaps. im gonna take some great outdoor ones soon hopefully. enjoy!

Why not just enter and see how you go - you've got to be in it to win it.

What model is it?

Also, how'd you pull off that paint scheme?  Masking with airbrush or hand painting?

Look great.

Chris.

WOW!!   That's all I can say:  WOW!!!

By the stores, I'm guessing a Trumpeter kit.

yes its a Trumpeter kit MiG-29 M Fulcrum, came with lots of weapon choices! they were a big task in their own right lol.

I Just did a base coat of the white then kept masking and painting using an air brush to get the rest of the paint scheme done. lots of masking! thanks for the feed back i appreciate it Smile i dont know if you can see from the photos but there are a few seem lines that im not too proud of, wish i used some putty!

your right though, you have to be in it to win it!

Honestly, I can't look past that incredible paint scheme to see any seam issues.

How was that kit to build?  I have an urge to get one now....

very nice work.!!

on ze missiles, i think it's the "harpoons" (second row, second "missile" from the left), are the small tiny lines decals or paint?

Looks great IMO.

I was never a fan of russian aircraft till the 80's when the Su-27 and MiG-29 hit the public, but since then thay have added even more to the stables that look damn fine.

Thanks for all the compliments! makes all the effort worth it Big Smile i agree that the camo is eye catching, something different.

Wizardz, if your referring to the missile i think you are, the lines are decals.

Dre you should give the kit a go, it was very enjoyable and went fairly smoothly.

Did you enter the Mig-29 in a contest? If so how did it place?

Mentioned was a seam that was noticeable, this will deduct points as basic construction is the most scrutinized area of points allocation / deduction.

I really like the bold camouflage colors and the extra work you did finishing up all the ordinance. Good job!

Besides the small flaw is something the judges have to find, nothing states it has to be pointed out!

Good luck

Jason

Man, that's really nice.

Do you think you'll post some other pictures?  I'd be interested in seeing some close ups and some pics of the underside.
