Beautiful build CB! You did some mighty fine work on this classic kit. And a most worthy addition to this long running thread!

Sorry for re-posting but I feel obligated to update this thread...
Took quite some time, but I finally got her done. All kit plastic except for a piece of glass in the gunsight and new guns.
On the Bench: Too Much
the Baron plasticjunkie Just completed this Revell 1/48 F84G converted to the E variant with a couple of easy modifications. Alclad paints used for the NMF... That's a beautiful finish, PJ!

Thanks Baron.
Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!
Wow, this thread has gone on now for just about 10 years, with steady activity, too. Congratulations, all you Monogram fans, for keeping the faith!
The bigger the government, the smaller the citizen.
UnwaryPaladin All very nice builds! Love how that F84G turned out. I have one on the shelf, hope it turns out half as nice. Joe

Tal Afar Davedo you think that there is enough interest for another round of Monogram Mafia group building?
I can never say no to a MM GB...even if I always fail to finish on time....
2022 New Year's Resolution: Enter 1 group build and COMPLETE a build this year!! Why Photobucket did you rob me of my one Group Build Badge??? Must be part of the strong anti-Monogram cartel!!!

cbaltrin No way a kitwrecker could have done such a masterful job on that shuttle! Tell us the truth now, who built it?

Lol yes Its my favourite in the collection the parts don't fit at all so it's all filling and sanding but with the decals I think it's worth it. It's certainly more striking than anything else I've got on the shelf I'd say. I would like the shuttle and boosters in 1/72 scale it would be huge but awesome.
Very nice! Great finish
Thanks,
John
Here's the finished Monogram F9F-2. It portrays a Panther of VMF-311 during Korea.
OK. In the stash: Way too much to build in one lifetime...
cbaltrin First build since leaving the hobby eh? How exactly did you manage that? :-D At any rate, it's a great looking B-25!

Yep...Went to youtube university and studied on how to do some weathering techniques and went for it. It turned out great and all my models since than have been better than the last one. Thats kinda how the hobby works and i love it!
Heres mine. B-25 Mitchell. First build since leaving the hobby.

Hi guys my favourite model and possibly simplest but best looking in my opinion is my Revell shuttle I know its an aircraft forum so I'll remove this if it doesn't belong but it's Revell and a plane kinda well glider.
I used Warbirf decals for the tiles if recommend these as there's almost no detail on the 1/144 Shuttle.
As a tribute to the STS missions I used the spare decals and American flag on the base.
Nice looking p-38 beefee!
You know, I posted my P-38 here some 10 and a half years ago promising to post an update when it was finished... It's a bit late now, but here's that P-38! I have a few others to post, too, but I will get them up a bit later!
Thank you!
very nice

That's a very good looking pair of pursuit planes Keyda! Great job!
Monogram Pro's 1/48 P-39 Airacobra
Revell's 1/48 P-51D Mustang.
Straycat & Aggie, those are fine additions to this thread!
My most recent Monogram builds, all since January this year:
A-10A Thunderbolt II 1/72
F4B-4 1/72
F11C-2 Goshawk 1/72
P-6E Hawk 1/72
Focke Wulf Fw190A 1/48 (built to replace the garbage Tri-Master/Dragon kit included in the Revell Mistel kit)
My most recent Monogram build, their iconic F-15C in 1/48 scale.
I used the missile ejectors (is that what they're called?), the little fins above the rear Sparrow missiles and the ladder from the Hasegawa kit.
The Sparrows themselves came from Tamiya's F-14 kit; I wanted to use the originals but they just looked terrible.
Decals are OOB.
Came out a lot better than previous builds of this kit. Gee, I guess it's true about taking your time.
In progress: Monogram F9F-2 Panther VMF 311. The airplane has decals on it now, just no pictures yet. Paint is MM Dark Sea Blue and AK Dark Aluminum.
Hey cbaltrin, thanks for resurrecting this thread. I realized that I have a few recent Revellograms that I need to add.
Monogram 1/72 Space Shuttle - slapped together as a ceiling hanger for my classroom.
Monogram 1/144 Apollo Saturn V Rocket lit with some LEDs
Monogram 1/48 B-1B Bomber built for the 50 Shades of Gray GB.
Revell 1/48 Stearman PT-17, my first biplane, also built for the 50 Shades of Gray GB.
Thanks for looking. Enjoy!

cbaltrin bobbaily cbaltrin-outstanding build-your time & effort was rewarded. What paint did you use for your Mustang? Thanks Bob, I don't even remember, but I am guessing the yellow nose was testors gloss yellow... I do know I used alclad 2 for nmf
