Me 109 G6 Trumpeter 1/24 - Finished
Posted by ajcmac on Monday, July 25, 2011 8:20 PM

Model started three months ago.

I painted the interiors, the engine, which added some tubes. Few, because my ability to scratch is weak.
The engine and the interior already painted.

Here with seat belts and the model already glued and ready to start painting.

The next step was to paint the marks of plane Anton Hackl...

and paint the RLM 76. Here now with the lights and shadows.

The landing gear and propeller.

Finally, the RLM 74 and 75.

Wings and stabilizers...

and upper fuselage.

That's it for now. Next step - paint the spots on the fuselage.

Thanks for watching.

That's a different scheme. It's really looking great so far. I love the engine and office detail.

I was a little afraid because this is the first time I make freehand with the airbrush. First, the camouflage of the fuselage, and now the mottle (I think that's how you say in English) on the sides of the fuselage. Just got a photo and shows the left side.

Trumpeter just have an image and also shows the left side.

Fantastic build...the one thing that really caught my eye was the propellor shaft. As a long time prop guy your work there really impressed me. Looking great!

I'd say your first freehand AB was a home run. Beer

Cool, that's Grislawski's 109 when he was with JG50...I've done that scheme myself in quarter-scale...

Great looking build!

Love the detail painting in the cockpit!

Also, did you use some sort of panel line pre-shading before painting?  Just an awesome looking paint job all 'round.

Decals placed.
Decals very weak unlike I've ever used the Trumpeter. But I do not think went wrong.

A coat of Future to protect the decals and a wash with  "Wash MIG". It is the first time I use and I liked it.

More progress. Dust exhaust pipes and machine guns simulated. Matt varnish applied.
