Very, very nice, can't wait to see the aircrew.  And I have a question that I hope someone out there can answer for me (cause it's bugging the heck out of me).  Way back in the mists of time I remember building a box scale model of the USS Halford - I want to say the it was when I was in the 5th or 6th grade which would make it somewhere around 1955 or 1956.  What is bugging me is who produced it?  I think it was Aurora but it could just as easily been Lindberg - can any one help?

Small update.. : I'm not having good luck with older Monogram decals lately,, and  I usually have great luck,, they don't want to lay down no matter how much or type of decal solution I use... I resorted to floating Future under and on the decal to get it to lay down and stick.. I had to peal off the insignias and scavenge some from other kits to add to the Monogram...

started detailing the engine colors, and exhausts..

Started painting the frames on the canopies... by hand..

pics soon..

ST SkyFalcon

I do have one question the metal etch parts I ve never dealt with them what is the how do you do them question ?

Sky

ST, thanks for the compliments.. ~!  There should be in the kit, with the photo etch, a small piece of paper showing what to do with the PE stuff.. I don't have mine in front of me.. so here goes..

The PE fret includes, Ring and point gunsight for the rear MG

scarf ring for rear MG mount ( this is a substitute for the kit plastic part )

float wire support wires ( replacing kit plastic )

Ignition wire harness for radial engine

float hand grab handles( remove kit moulded bumps on main float and outriggers )

                                    Steps for fuselage mounted steps..

Use super glue to attach these...

Good Looking model I check the one I bought on E-bay and its missing the right strutts so I am contacting Monogram for some replacement parts see how it goes.  I did have any luck with a B-17G kit that was missing the entire right wing and all related parts.  So I am not holding my breath on this one.  But like what you have done with this kit

Thanks, P38!  I've had an unfinshed scratch catapult in the closet for years because I can't seem to find some cheap diamond plate that is an acceptable size.

Can't wait to see your Kingfisher completed!

Here she is at a show our club did in September...[View:/themes/fsm/utility/Photobucket:550:0]

the Kingfisher in her catapult now is one I did 7-8 years ago... We set it there to show the size and fill the void on the catapult..

We did have Zero float plane on there to for a while.. we got funny looks from people who knew better .. lol
